WEBRO BSKYB TWIN SATELLITE CABLE For CCTV Cameras
Bhawan replied to bornnslippy's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
for CCTV you have to use RG59 or RG6 thats 100% copper and with copper shielding. if it has aluminium it might work long distance and there might be interference. even when using cat5e it has to be 100% copper. don't use the cheap cable man you can get a box of RG59 Siamese (with power) 500ft for only $55. Cable matters man. -
Trying to find out who the OEM for this company is. Noticed they have a few NVR's as well. will look further into when im not at work. But just judging by the profile they are just an assembly company and the real software is a copy.

model number brand even a picture of the software will make it easier to identify.

make sure u buy some quality RJ45 end and use the crimp style not the cheap tool less.

Good NVR or POE cam with alarm inputs?
Bhawan replied to halgreene's topic in General Digital Discussion
I would recommend a 4 Channel NVR system. You can buy with POE already built in. You will also add HDD to this for recording. I recommend TVT , Dahua and Hikvision as reliable brands. lmk if you need more specifics on which camera and NVR to choose but almost all standard NVR's have an Alarm motion recording function which is very standard. -
I would re-wire the whole thing If some did that ****ty of a job who knows how the quality of cable is. starting from scratch could be faster as well rather than trying to clean up a horrid mess.

Use RCA on balun for data?
Bhawan replied to nonsuchpro's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Yes using the DC female like above works perfectly. -
Looking at the DVR ur gonna use a Mic and plug it in the red input where it says audio in. http://winbo.ca/index.php/products/cctv-accessories/bnc-connector/con-bf-rcam-detail you need that connector to convert BNC to RCA
-
did u put a joystick inbetween?
-
RG59 will obviously have the better quality but Cat5e is good as well just don't use cheap baluns. For coax ends use compression/push or crimp never twist.
-
You can use a Audio/video transmitter receiver. like this one here http://www.supercircuits.com/wireless-security/wireless-video-transmitters-receivers/high-powered-weatherproof-2-4-ghz-wireless-transmitter-receiver-dvl24wr Just use a BNC to RCA adapter on both sides and you will be good to go. Keep in mind there will be a drop in resolution. IP cameras are way easier to send wireless than Analog. [MOD: removed link]

The Image resolution is the same the housings are different. The bullet IMO is better suited for the home especially if you are installing on a brick wall. I personally am not a fan of the turrent style camera but to each their own. Spec wise they are the same.

How many hours of labour was involved? did you bring any extra employees? were you going up on extreme heights. a lot of factors to think about more details would help

Beware of Cantonk and other cheap chinese manufacturers
Bhawan replied to Sgsecurity's topic in Security Cameras
Hey guys being a manufacturer/supplier myself unless you have gone to China yourself and seen how the manufacturing works you won't understand. These companies just assemble these products but do not develop the camera. Their techs have not developed these products and cannot fix major issues that might happen. They do not understand how the weather in the winter is here. (were in ontario Canada). Best way to deal with these companies is to use a Chinese manufacturer here and buy in bulk so all warranty related issues can be handled locally.I can give you a list of trusted suppliers in China to order from but $4000 is a joke to them and you won't be handled serious. You can PM me if you have any further questions man I feel bad and would love to help in any way I can and you don't have to worry about any chinglish lol. -
Yes you can if you are distributing only power. and just fyi this is not called a patch cable. your just using the conductors as positive negative.

Dome camera compatability
Bhawan replied to lucyjoseph1976's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Use a ground loop problem solved. if its a line constantly going through it thats what it usually is. if cable and everything is fine of course -
Hey man D1 can't handle 800 TVLS so spending the extra on cameras is pointless. but recently there is new a technologies out there like HD-CVI, HD-TVI and AHD. you can get 720P quality from them and its very CHEAP. analog is very old now my friend the price difference for the HD i listed above is almost nothing. let me know if you have any further question.
-
Hey Man clearly the above people are just trying to make a sales pitch. I'm in Canada Ontario and we sell both products. HIKVISION imo has better quality products. But for Dahua it is easier for me to get more accessories like junction boxes, wall mount brackets and so on Both are superb quality though you won't go wrong picking either one. For the hikvision turrent style you might need a junction box to hide the POE connector on the brick wall. let me know if you have any other questions i could recommend something in more detail as well. this is all assuming your using IP cameras. both are great products.

Hikvision vs Dahua (DVR, NVR, etc..)
Bhawan replied to Don Stephens's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Both are great manufacturers I personally prefer TVT. In Ontario, Canada Hikvision is available at cheaper cost to me so i prefer Hikvision. I have more choice in accessories with the Dahua cameras such as ceiling brackets and arm brackets. I work in Sales and Distribution both are a good choice. Can't go wrong with either. -
try adjusting the focus seems like the inner IR is bouncing off objects.
