Hi, I already successfully configured a Hikvision camera rtsp address in VLC but now I'm stuck with a NVR RTSP address. The NVR is a HikVision DS-7608NI-SE/P. It work very well with iVMS4200 and iVMS4500. The RTSP port is 554. The other port (HTTP, HTTPS and SDK) isn't the default one. There is 6 IP Cam connected to the NVR in port 2,3,4,5,6 and 7. I already searched and I cannot find a working rtsp url. So here are the address i tested : rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/h264/ch1/main/av_stream rtsp://<USER>:<PASS>@<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/h264/ch1/main/av_stream rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>:554/h264/ch1/main/av_stream rtsp://<USER>:<PASS>@<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>:554/h264/ch1/main/av_stream rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/h264/ch2/main/av_stream rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/h264/ch3/main/av_stream rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/h264/ch4/main/av_stream rtsp://<USER>:<PASS>@<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/h264/ch2/main/av_stream rtsp://<USER>:<PASS>@<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/h264/ch3/main/av_stream rtsp://<USER>:<PASS>@<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/h264/ch4/main/av_stream the following with and without ":554" port rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/MPEG-4/ch1/main/av_stream rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/MPEG4/ch1/main/av_stream rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/mpeg4/ch1/main/av_stream rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/mpeg-4/ch1/main/av_stream the VLC error I got Your input can't be opened: VLC is unable to open the MRL 'rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/h264/ch1/main/av_stream'. Check the log for details. The strange thing is when I tried IPCam rtsp address (without user/password). rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/Streaming/Channels/1 VLC ask me the user/password (never asked with the other address) . The mean VLC can contact the NVR. but after entering the admin and admin password I have the same error. Your input can't be opened: VLC is unable to open the MRL 'rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/Streaming/Channels/1'. Check the log for details. So I tested rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/Streaming/Channels/1 So I tested rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/Streaming/Channels/2 rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/Streaming/Channels/3 rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/Streaming/Channels/4 rtsp://<NVR_IP_ADDRESS>/Streaming/Channels/5 all asked me the user/password but i have the same error message So what the rtsp address to access the stream for each camera with a NVR ? Thanks

Ok I also contact Hikvision support and they have already answered So here is the rtsp address : rtsp://[admin]:[12345]@:[PORT]/Streaming/Channels/ between [] is optional (depend on your config) between <> is mandatory ID is for an NVR (DVR I suppose too) YXX where Y = channel number and XX is main (01) or sub stream (02) so ID 501 = Channel 5 main stream ID 402 = Channel 4 sub stream ... ex : rtsp://admin:12345@192.168.0.64/Streaming/Channels/201 rtsp://192.168.1.64/Streaming/Channels/602

The Ultimate IP Camera Guide - Start Here!
Zou replied to Peter_'s topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I've tested the Axxon Next Free software and it's quite interesting even if the GUI philosophy isn't like the other software I tested. The free version limit is : 16 IP Cam 1 Server 1To archive limit. To those who are interested : The unlock version for one server to cost about 230€. (Unlimited archives and max. 16 Cam) Adding one more camera cost about 80€ -
Hi, i'm currently extending my IP Cam network and I'm happy to see there is a forum to discuss about CCTV and IPCam solutions.

Restream Old RTSP to ONVIF compatible Stream?
Zou posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hello, I have old Axis IP Cameras and they aren't ONVIF. Now I want to add some new IP Camera (Hikvision) and found the iVMS 4200 software really interesting. Unfortunately it only support HikVision or ONVIF devices. Do you know if there exist some software or solution who can convert the mpeg4 rtsp stream to an onvif compatible stream? Like an ONVIF IPcam emulator or something like that? thx
