  1. 26 acres? for 4500? that won't even cover the purchase of the proper equipment for this project, you are looking at close to $15K roughly for someone who knows what they are doing to pull this off

Need help to ID my DVR

that looks like an old DVR sold by many distributors, Easterncctv is one of them I believe. Look at this page, download the manual and see if is the same and let us know: http://www.easterncctv.com/download.htm
  5. Like he said, specially a system this big you want to make sure you buy from a authorized dealer that will be able to handle any problems that arrises. But, I disagree on running CAT6, I would do it anyway.

    lager hdd not stabilze ???

Seagate over 3TB is not good for surveillance, the only ones that will work properly are the WD purple drives, like Securame says. please tell me the reason why seagate over 3TB is not good for surveillance, it is what i need to know Read this article so you have an idea: http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=1210
  7. If the IR's are not turning on at night, and there is no substantial lighting in the area, then A, the camera is not getting any power, or B, the camera could be dead. Your easiest way to determine this is to take one of the known working cameras down and plug into the wire going to the dead camera, if it works, then bad camera, if it doesn't, then start tracing the wire from the camera to the DVR, making sure that there's no damage to the wire
  8. How can I get a installer rank on my profile? and how do I enter the dealer section?
  9. You mean Aluminum braided wire? if so, there's your problem, you need to use copper for CCTV applications

  11. As I already told you on another thread, the 888888 account never works from network; it is only for local use, with monitor and mouse connected to the device. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=45848 Try it with a new unit, and you will see that the results are the same that on those devices that have been compromised; "the user does not exist". hehe.......tenias razon. 888888 doesn't work in the network, it was 666666 that I had used......my apologies Securame
  12. In the last few weeks, there has been some sort attacks specific to Dahua's DVRs all over the place. The first customer of mine that got hit happened about two months ago, and since then, almost everyone of my customers who didn't change their default passwords also got hit, and lately, in this forum and some others, more and more units are getting hit. My theory is that this is not some person doing this for fun, it has to be some sort of bot looking for something or just maybe, I could be crazy, but Dahua themselves doing it, at this point who knows. I took a 4ch DVR out the box and plugged it into my network, and used DMZ to put it out, not even 24hrs later it got hit. So, I'm trying to figure out not only if there's a common denominator, but also trying to figure out how to fix it without having to do a firmware update, because I have no idea where to get them, my distributor says that they don't have them. I got one question to those of you that got the same problem, where you using quickddns.com? that's my first guess right now.
  13. The problem lies with the customers where we DID NOT do the install, the simply bought the equipment from us and self installed. And why would dahua do it? I'm just throwing ideas, but yeah it is unlikely that is them doing it. So far after resetting the units and deleting all the user names and changing password, everything seems to work, except the "888888" user accounT. No matter if I delete it and recreate it with full admin privileges, it still says that account doesn't exists when loggin in from a web browser; but it still works locally at the unit. So I just simply deleted the account and created a new one for the customers. So far so good
  14. I'm working on it, I'll post a thread when I find a solution.

    Hacked DVR--Dahua

Thank you for this. My only issue is that I don't have access to the firmware files. The dahua website is confusing when it comes to this And I font know were else to get it from. I don't think my distributor has it either...

    Hacked DVR--Dahua

No, you are incorrect. The 888888 account works over the network and remotely. and it doesn't matter what type of input you use to access the unit.

  19. Ok, this is what I got: Doctor practice with 8 locations and 500 employees. They want to put card access to the back door, with the capability of disarming the alarm for certain users, but not all. Job is simple, they have one back door, and currently some of the locations have a keypad that control access to the office, but is not logged, and everyone seems to know the code, to the extent that the last person to leave the building has to manually turn off power to the keypad to prevent anyone to come in after hours; the rest use a regular key, so in this case they deadbolt the door at night and open it in the morning. This is what they want: A Proximity card reader in each location, that will tie up to a panel, that in turn communicates thru the network to the control system computer in their main office, but for certain users, like the owners, doctors, and managers, to have the ability to disable the burglar alarm. I have advised them that most likely their panels will have to be switched out. So far, this is what my distributor has suggested: http://www.napcosecurity.com/gemaccess.html And now I'm asking you guys, what else is out there?

    HD-TVI test monitor

Not dahua's I can tell you that.
  21. If you want to take credit for them you're welcome to do so. Just don't ask me to reset your password,,,, ( methinks this does not require explanation?) I buy them from Dynamic in Middlesborough, like everything they sell, they're the tops. I understand that Oprema are also a good solid seller. Well buddy I'm on the other side of the pond so Oprema is kinda far..
  22. So I'm stumped, did a 16CH install in a condominium complex last week, and three or four cameras are having a sort of signal issue, and it's weird. The longest run in 200FT on Siamese pure copper, and they are run all inside walls, no piping or anything like that. My problem is this, it's 4 floors total, 2 cameras per floor, wires running same path to basement to DVR. Using a power box, 18ch, 20AMP, reputable brand. some of the cameras are showing this weird interference in the picture, at first I thought it might have been a length issue, but the other camera on that floor has no issues, so it doesn't make sense for this to happen. I attached a link to YOUTUBE so that you can see what I'm talking about. Before swaping cameras out, I need suggestions, and yes I already checked the connectors.
  23. Those are identical to the ones I already keep in stock they are very reliable and the push fit terminals work very smoothly especially when used with wire-end ferrules. Thank you for that, it's very reassuring. A compliment coming from you? you made my day!!
  24. These are the ones I have used before with CVI with no problems http://www.dh-vision.com/index.php/accessories/connectors-converters/dh-vbp-101.html

    HDCVI Signal Problem

So I finally had a chance to go back to the site with some time on my hands and figured out the problem. There was a bad ballast on a light fixture that was close to one of the lines and it caused interference on some of the channels. After resolving this, the image got 90% better, but I still had small lines going across the screen. The fix is a weird one, after playing with different settings I changed the cable type from Coax (which I'm using) to UTP on the dvr's menu, under the camera settings and the images came in clear as day. Hopefully this can help others with this similar issue.
