    What to look for in DVR?

    G4-4RTA 4 Seems solid from what I've read. But only 4 channel.   2. New to this area. Did some searching through the threads. Kind of a crash course. Can some one highlight the main features to look for in DVR. Going to need a stand alone 8 channel, internet capable DVR, excellent display and recording rate. Also, one that has great live video support over onternet . Priced around 600-1k. What is the best selling brand at the moment? at that price range? Thanks in advance for your inputs. Jon
