Exactly same problem that i had -even after correct settings - it didnt save it. And the reason i tried flashing new firmware. Good News !! my miniNVR is working now !, a support from factory (thanks Mr. Zhong) made via teamviewer to my pc to diagnose, all the troubles are for a incorrect firmware, they send me the correct one, i uploaded to my google drive. **** Download: https://drive.google.com/folder/d/0BxkvWmKczYDFYzY2eF93QUFUUUk/edit 1.- Unzip and copy to a formatted fat16 or fat32 clean flashdrive the "3520d_U Disk Boot Recovery Files" 2.- copy to the same flashdrive the file "01530123_mini_8ch_nor_A_old_20140417.update" 3.- plug the usbflashdrive to the miniNVR and turn on, wait 2 minutes and a update screen will pop up 4.- clic browse and select "01530123_mini_8ch_nor_A_old_20140417.update" and clic update 5.- when update is complete please turn off the miniNVR and unplug the usbflashdrive, turn on again and VOILA! *NOTE with the hikvision camera DS-2CD02032-I my motion detection in my other miniNVR works like a charm! i have the original factory firmware V4.0 (20140322) I start testing the new firmware (20140417) that made it back to life my miniNVR

sorry for your miniNVR, i think you have the same board like my unit, the factory sent to my these file, you need to copy to a clean fat16 or fat32 usb flashdrive, connect to the usb port in the miniNVR and boot, you can see network and mouse, in a window to update firmware, then you can do telnet, the ip in the miniNVR is 192.168.1.188 files to copy in the USB flashdrive https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxkvWmKczYDFQzVFRFQyS2FYWDQ/edit?usp=sharing tell us your progress.

Thank you very much for your help ! try installing the firmware on a usb memory 8gb, nvr did the same as always, showed initial screen for 5 seconds and then black screen and windows shows network cable disconnected try a 2GB memory format fat16, nvr did the same as always, Showed initial screen for 5 seconds, the readwrite flashdrive led flashes fast (like reading), and then black screen and windows shows network cable disconnected I did the same with a completely clean NTFS formatted external hard drive WesternDigital "Mybook" 500gb, Showed initial screen, the harddrive LED flashes for the initial 6 seconds (like reading), windows keep sending packets but receive nothing (only orange led blinks), 3 minutes and then black screen and windows shows network cable disconnected i try with the wired Ethernet standard, and a crossover ethernet cable, my windows xp PC only send the packets but receive nothing. frustrated, connect my other miniNVR (which works perfectly) to check network connections, and succeed in making telnet connection successfully entering the username and password provided in the "recovery command.txt" no usb drives connected. My seller just provide me the manufacturer's site ( http://www.aevision.com.cn/en/ProductDetail.Asp?Id=178 ), and just sent an email to the support department in north america, I hope have the same good luck that kn__kn has thank you very much for your help, really are very friendly people. crossing fingers.

Hello ! WoW from dead to live? this is fast! your nvr network led blinks when they stuck on boot screen ? thanks very much i will try this

I just sent an email to the seller too! , I think we have the same model of miniNVR apparently equal to GhostRider but different and incompatible with the Xvision firmware. I still have another miniNVR in perfect condition, I wonder if there will be any way to extract the original firmware.
-
Well, leave it overnight and simply not start, the mouse does not light, the network led never light, I wonder if there will be any way to flash back the original firmware, I posted a photo of the circuit board right here, right next to the speaker will be able to see that I think there are four holes for a usb or serial connection. can someone find out? still willing to try, thank you very much

thank you very much for your fast response, I'll leave it on with everything connected, I really hope they show signs of life after 30 min thanks again

Welcome kn___kn! your mini NVR works correctly with the screen resolution output at 1080p in a native Full HD Monitor along with the single view mainstream video from the Hikvision camera in full 1080p? my NVR keep freezing the video with that setting and when i return to multi view works perfect thanks for reading and best regards !

NVR Super Mini Setup help required.
systpro replied to meh999's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi ! do you solve your problem ? I have a super mini NVR look at my posts -
Hello everyone! I'm new and I would like to share my experience with this type of equipment super Mini NVR i bought 2 units (55 dlls each plus 7 dlls International DHL to Mexico ) the last week in Aliexpress: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-Onvif-15-multiple-languages-3G-WIFI-audio-input-Network-video-recorder-720P-1080P-8ch/1481450597.html Overall viewing live and recorded only in resolution of 1920 x 1080 (2megapixel) wasting 1 megapixel of the camera Hikvision (China Version) DS-2CD2032-I (3megapixel) 2048 x 1536 ( assuming that is the native resolution of the camera and not interpolated, anyone can confirm pls? ) SPECIAL ATTENTION ** not connect a USB hard drive with important data, I made the BIG mistake of wanting to test quickly and not have another drive to test available, connect my MyBook external drive WesternDigital without even using the FORMAT option, the NVR automatically formats proprietary structure files (linux suppose) in the drive causing a big headache Then buy a 1TB USB 3 External Hard Drive 2.5 "(Dash Drive ADATA HV610) only to realize that either of the two USB ports are there in the NVR does not have enough power to make it work (clicking noise in the hard drive) so connect to a powered USB 2.0 HUB 5v and 1 amp (NVR works perfect with cheap 4 port hub), and started recording perfectly in manual mode (not stop recording) as well as scheduled.. recording in Motion detection is a bit confusing, is directly dependent on the ability of the camera to detect (I guess so does not require a huge CPU usage occupying that role) setting my camera Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I only recorded sporadically at first, but right now after 2 days of trial and error seems to work effectively. the only problem I have right now is that when connected to a FULL HD via HDMI or VGA monitor, adjusting the parameters to display the user interface in FULL HD Native does it perfectly, the video feed in the multi grid view shows fluid (substream), but to make big the video to fill the screen (mainstream) image is frozen, when I adjust the settings of the NVR recording native 8 x 1280 x 720 video flows perfectly but wasting even more resolution from the Hikvision 3mp camera, changing the resolution of the user interface below 1920 x 1080 (example 1440 x 900) and leaving the native resolution of the NVR recording in full HD 8 x 1920 x 1080 video is accomplished watch and record fluid and full but not displaying it to full HD, looks like a slightly annoying bug. anyone with the same problem ? i uploaded the English Manual and quick star guide for this NVR that came in the CD: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxkvWmKczYDFRlg2Ml9GOEdtNXM/edit?usp=sharing thanks !
