I would like to install 8 cameras with the option to add another 4. I don't know what I need.
The thing is, I really don't want a NVR/DVR because I have a great Synology NAS and a capable LAN. Maybe this is mission impossible, maybe not.
I need the cameras to send atleast 720p motion to my NAS and offer live view to a guard with a desktop PC and to the boss on Android and iOS.
The cameras I am looking are sub 100$ range. It's ok if I pay for client software but does it help me navigate data on the NAS?
Are Dahua cams what I am looking for? Ubiquiti Aircam look nice but I think they can't save to NAS. Anything else in that price range? What else do I need?
Cheers!
Edit: Removing the price limitation, is it still something so uncommon? I just don't get it why would I need a NVR when most IP cameras have quite a bit processing power themselves. Within reason, no NVR will match a dedicated NAS with offsite backup. Am I wrong?
