I recently bought 6 hikvision DS-2CD2232-I5 to use at an smaller industrial facility. So now i'm looking for something to act as a nvr which leads me to 2 questions. 1. I want to have a server and not a standalone NVR. I'm wondering what the recommended hardware specification for my setup is? I want my server to handle up to 8 cameras, and some minor file-storing. The recording will probebly only be on during nightime. Will the HP proliant N54L be powerfull enough to make my system run smooth? I would prefer it to be free or at a low cost.
