  1. If that's what the customer wants, then give it to them. You can also hook up a day/night in a different part of the bar and show them the difference. Let us know if there is anything else we can help you out with.

  2. I would stay away from the Harbor Freight cameras they are terrible. They can't see much and put out a real grainy picture. We do have some cameras in your budget if you are interested. Let me know if there is anything we can help you with. Thanks

  3. Any time you mount an indoor camera outside it is never good. There is a reason the manufacture labels these camera indoor and outdoor. One has seals, and plugs to make it outdoor and weather proof. If you put the indoor camera outdoors, it will eventual form moisture inside the camera fogging the lens and cause damage to the components. I would just spend a few extra dollars and go with the outdoor cameras. We have them as check as $58.00 Thanks

  4. Sorry guys, but I am going to have to disagree on this one. I would not mount the PTZ on its side due to the pressure accruing on the base of the dome.

You see the camera module and head itself weighs a bit and puts pressure on the base of the unit, over time this will cause problems even though the unit is belt driven most likely. I have had customer do this and after about a year or two, the PTZ start to have stress cracks. You also have to think when the camera zooms in and out, this also transfers more weight to the front or the back of the dome. Hopefully this helps.

  7. I know the cameras are made over seas, but they did not want to tell me where the whole PTZ was made. On the Pelco box it's says made in China. That is hard to believe since China does not have regulations on their products. The tech guy from Pelco said that the PTZ'S are made over seas.

  8. Does anyone know what company makes Pelco's PTZ'S? I am trying to find this info, and of course Pelco does not want to give this info out. I am trying to get the dust covers that go over the Pelco ptz's and Pelco said the only way I can get these is from the manufactuer. Any help would be great!

  10. I think we have gotten of the subject. Here are some reasons why you would want video surveillance in your car.

    1. Evidence of you NOT being at fault in a car accident

    2. When a cop pulls you over and gives you a ticket for something that you did not do, you can fight it in court with your video surveillance.

    3. If you get robbed in your vehicle, you can show the court or cops the footage for prosecuting.

    4. You can speed at 150mph and show it off on YouTube. LOL!

There are a lot of different reasons people might want video surveillance in their car. These are just a few examples. Let me know if there is anything else we can help you with. Thanks

  11. Just seems that trying to put a day/night and color camera all in one is a bad idea. For example most day/night cameras turn grainy at night, have a bad picture quality, and are green looking.

I recommend going with one of our dual CCD night vision cameras. It combines two cameras literally into housing. One is a color dedicated camera and then when night comes around, it switches to a whole different b/w camera and flips on the LED'S. This is one of the better cameras out there.

Let us know if there is anything else we can help you with. Thanks

  12. First thing I would check is your power supply. When using IR cameras, your draw on amps are higher at night due to the IR kicking in. If you don't have a big enough power supply to handle the load, it can fade the picture in and out and eventually burn up your power supply.

I recommend a 1.5amp power supply depending on the camera and how many LED'S you have. Let us know if there is anything else we can help you with. Thanks
