  1. So I'm both new to this forum and the world of CCTV... I have purchased 3 WANSCAM EXTERNAL IP DOME PTZ camera's... £55 Each including shipping rate's... I have watched countless videos, For the price seem very capable of covering my small 3 bed semi... Now the software included look's basic... What would people suggest I should use? Max software budget £100... I want to be able to control the PTZ, Have preset points and be able to put the camera's in cruise mode if this can be achived... Also record on alarm... Any suggestions, Would be appricated... Thanks in advance! MonsterCS
  2. Guy's so yesterday I installed my wireless PTZ dome camera... Another 3 sat here awaiting the rain to leave us! Now it work's great using the supplied 12V 1AMP Power Supply... But once I extend the cable with a eBay 10M extension... The power drop's... Just dim visable light on the network connector... Camera fails to boot? Please help... What do I need?
  3. Thank you, I shall order a 5 Amp power supply tomorrow, I shall post the results once I perform a test.
  4. What do you mean? When no extension cable is used, the 12v adapter supplied work's, We only need to go to 24V when we use an extension, We can not understand why this is...
  5. OK we have now tried another cable, Which should have no loss for the price paid, But still the same result, Fails to boot... So what would people suggest? Can any body advise?
  6. So the father came yesterday with the meter and adjustable power supply which you can control the volt's and amp's... The PTZ and power supply which came supplied say 12V Using the 10M cable it took 20V 0.3 Amp to get the PTZ to power up, When the PTZ motor's were running the volts dropped to 11V at the PTZ and in idle the volts were 15-16V at the PTZ, So would you say this is cable loss, Would you suggest a much better quailty power extension cable?
  7. So you think the cable's I have purchased are not upto the job? I have purchased 4 of them, Tried them all with 4 different power adaptors, Different PTZ's same result's... Even cut one cable up and made it no more then 3M Still the same, But I did notice the cables are really thin, When I made them shorter, Would this effect anything? MonsterCS
  8. Thanks for that advice, Thought I was going to get 0 response... I actually downloaded that yesterday, (Seen Few Threads) Just not got round to trying it out... So I'll give it a try shortly... Any more suggestions, Please post!
