william_netvisiondvr replied to ryeporta's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Are you going to do a Face Recognition system? We are interested in face recognition and LPR now. I think face recognition can aslo be used in attendance. LPR can be used in traffic and toll station etc. -
64 Bit OS Support
william_netvisiondvr replied to mproberts's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
You mean an end user can't access critical updates or patches from the manufacturer directly? They have to go through their local dealer? What if the dealer went out of business? What if the dealer wants to charge them for the free update? What support does Netvision offer to the end user, AKA paying customer? No. What i mean is when there is a dealer at your location, you can get product and software more conveniently. We have to pretect both the benifit of our dealers and end users. Any end user has a tech problem, he can contact us directly. Any user can download software from our website with the correct ID and password offered by our sales. -

Chinese DVR Card
william_netvisiondvr replied to munchoa's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Ok no problem. The way I see it though is you only would be saving money with the 16 channel cards, 4 channel cards are about the same cost all around. Check Netvision though they are on this forum at least. Id like to know if they had a place to buy their card in the US though (PM only if they do thanks). Yes, we have dealer in the USA. If you really want to buy cards or softwares, PM me please. -

Sorry, the link is not working now. Try to use this one: http://cqax.5166.info/download/userManuals/hardwareManual/hik/cards/NV40xxHC(HS)MDCardUserManual.pdf Hi ak357, I only want to give the advice to customers. What i wish is they can get what they want. I don't have to give them my name here[/b]. If they are intrested about our software, they can ask me for it, right? yes u dont have to, but you did Yes and I do appreciate that he also told me of his Software when I was looking for a DVR card + software. I am currently using Netvision Trial to record 16Ch in CIF on a Hikvision card. It is the best Software i have seen so far and I have tried about 4-5 different ones. The performance is also real good - completely fluent on a Sempron 2400+ with 512MB. I have to admit that I was impressed. I am going to get 4 more cards now from Netvision. Thank you very much! And I have to say is that, I told Koolmer about our software just because he sent PM to me. -

Chinese DVR Card
william_netvisiondvr replied to munchoa's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Many customers are using Hikvision cards now. By the way, the new card is not named HVF, but 42XXHFV, which can be used to do single video output to TV monitor itself. 40XXHS card doesn't support dual stream. 40XXHC card supports dual stream but not full D1. 4008HF card supports full D1 and dual stream but may be a little expensive. Fewer people are using HCS. Generally speaking, 40XXHC card is the most popular for its good price and stability. When you want to use it as D1 and dual stream, you can halve your channels. For details, have a look at this link: http://cqax.meibu.com/download/userManuals/hardwareManual/hik/cards/NV40xxHC(HS)MDCardUserManual.pdf If you want to get some softwares for test, i can offer server and client with user manual. Any problems, welcome to PM me. -

DVR Viewer unable to connect at IP address
william_netvisiondvr replied to krogoth's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Yes, I know what's your mean. So I suggested you forwarding the ports of your camera to your router so that you can visit your camera in another city via IE (Internet Explorer). But if you have a client software coming with the cameras (or your EM-dvr), you may not have to map so many ports. Maybe one is enough. -
DVR Viewer unable to connect at IP address
william_netvisiondvr replied to krogoth's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
According to what you said, your home and office may be not in a LAN. So you have to map your cam port to your router. I don't know what's the model name and supplier of your cam. I am only aware of several kinds of cams. For example, Hikvision camera. To Hikvision H.264 video compression camera, you have to map two ports to your router, one is HTTP port and another is comunication port. To Hikvision MPEG4 video compression camera that supports RTSP function, you have to map 4 ports: HTTP port, RTSP port, data port and comunication port. -
DVR Software on multiple screens in 1080p
william_netvisiondvr replied to koolmer's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
The matrix card I mentioned is also Hikvision card. There are two kinds: 4002MD and 4004MD. They are used to decode data from compression cards and IP devices except mega cameras. You can use them to playback your decode data to TV monitor. And you can connect several screens according to your cards and your VGA ports. By the way, if you have any problems about our software, you can contact me. There are many small functions we don't make details in the manual, sorry. -
DVR Software on multiple screens in 1080p
william_netvisiondvr replied to koolmer's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
You will not get preview on both! On the main monitor (DSP monitor) will have preview and the other can have playback or, setup. JD Why not? For Netvision DVR, you can set the monitors as 1920*1080 and the total will be 3840*1080. However, it works as a single one. But you can get preview on both! Remember the view modes on main monitor should be less than your total camera numbers so that the ones that can't be shown on main monitor will be shown on the second one. That's to say, the pictures on the monitors are not the same. And when you enter setup or playback, all your preview cameras will be shown on the second monitor automatically. Besides, matrix card can be a good consideration. -
WHAT SHOULD I ABOUT DVR CARD
william_netvisiondvr replied to ginogag's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
HOW DO I USE IT AS A DECODER CARD?????? You cant! Just William being a girl today! JD Well, I don't think a girl can't be a tech. I am not the best one even in my company. But I keep moving all the time. I confess that I didn't read the problem carefully because I was too busy that time. And, I don't know hifast 6802 and just want him to have a try. This is harmless. When I have no idea about something, I will do anything I can do to try to know it. I just want to share my experience with him even though I was wrong. Remember, a benign competition can benifit you, not a malignant one. -
WHAT SHOULD I ABOUT DVR CARD
william_netvisiondvr replied to ginogag's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
4 BNC ports? Sounds like a decoder card. Did you try to use it as a decoder? By the way, not all the drivers are installed under sound, video controllers. Generally speaking, the other PIN connecters are usually used for audio input and output. -

PV-981 No video in Windows 7
william_netvisiondvr replied to Jorel's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
This looks like a canned response, but better than nothing i guess. 1. I think you're referring to Device Manager in Windows? Already done that. 2. Waiting for a response, again the drivers did install fine. 3. Video card is a GTX 260. I know that DirectX 9 is working because 'aero' works. 1.Not device manager, that's for card driver installation. What I refer here is you should use "administrator" only to control your computer, of couse including intall drivers and softwares and so on; 2. If your SDK doesn't support the OS, no matter your drivers are installed ok or not, your card will not work normal; 3. I didn't mean the quanlity of your video card. Some capture cards demand for special video card. And you have to consider about the compatibility. -

william_netvisiondvr replied to Jorel's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
We have provided cards and softwares working with Vista and Windows 7. Here are some suggestions: 1. Use manager to control your system; 2. Contact your supplier to confirm whether the SDK or driver support the OS; 3. Check whether your video card is good enough. -

dvr card install
william_netvisiondvr replied to ginogag's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
The camera main screen would not show up when the driver didn't install correctly. Normally, there will be a folder named "driver" in the software install file. Find out it and install your drive again. Or you can single-right-click your mouse in your device manager and select "Scan for hardware changes" to see if your card is recognized by your computer. If not, maybe your card can't work normally. You have to throw it out. -
This card good or bad?
william_netvisiondvr replied to x-man's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
There was someone who bought a card from ebay with no software in this forum. The price is very low but the card is useless while there is no software. Besides, I have heard of that there are some pirate versions on ebay. -
DVR Software on multiple screens in 1080p
william_netvisiondvr replied to koolmer's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Normally, a DVR server supports 64 channels camera. That is to say, you can add 4 4016HC/HS (Hikvision cards) or 8 4008HC/HS/HF or 16 4004HC or some other. But you should consider how many slots do you have at the same time. I don't know which kind of Hikvision cards do you have. But now, Hikvision owns a new kind of 42XX series cards, it's very powerful. If any problems, I'm here with pleasur to help you. -

william_netvisiondvr replied to krogoth's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Can you please tell me what's your OS and what's the version of your DVR? Besides, I have to confirm two things: the first is when you say DVR, you mean PC based DVR which is a software not a EM-DVR, right? The second, how do you connect? Connect the DVR via IE? Or use other software to conncet DVR? Or use DVR to connect some IP devices? If you can remember what operations you have done is more useful.
