i think that would work. trick is the private protocols, seems like every brand uses different. load als much possible and you get more fully (with motion detect, area setting, etc) cam's working on the system
-
okay good ! there is also a recovery image when device is bricked

Hi, lots of information in here ! What i coud not find, scanning all the posts is if there are some sort of alternatie firmware's out there. I would like to embed the stream of 1 of my camera's in a website (domoticz / frontpage). Onvif camera's i have do support rtsp that i can connect to using vlc plugin. This plugin is not supported on my android tablets in combination with image on website. . I am looking for a way to use the NVR to serve the image that want, nothing i the original firmware so searching for alternatives. thanks.

seems like the problem other camera;s got with onvif. set motion detection sensitivity, save succes, after leaving and going back settings are gone. Same with displaynaam, time settings etc. using camera's with other protocols doing fine, i've i8, i9 and i13 working

would it be possible to redirect de record folder to a network share, now the OS of NVR is a read only one ?
-
if you do so, place the cam in a place were you can be sure all movement is alarm worthy. Cams can be quit nervous where it comes to motion detection. It might give you a lot of fals alarms
-
there a lot of ways imageble. best is to connect to the cam, it would also be possible to just send a e-mail message and have the receiver of that mail run a script that acitivate something. this would not be as fast as connecting direct to the cam
-
can somebody repost the credentials to set up a telnet connection with NVR ? it was as a link on this board, not working anymore
-
i dont think so, i think you have to connect those to the cam itself

anybody know how to factory default a bullit cam ? mine is in a reboot loop, can't ger it out
-
or USB

i have enabled send mail at motion detection function on all camera's. some send attachement, some don't anybody else with same behavior ? thanks
-
no it is not a .RAR, just update under settings using the file, than reboot.
-
maybe he knows a way to find out what private protocol is active ? i do not know the trick

okay, maybe we can ask to post the 'flavours' he has ?

maybe there is a way to find out the exact (sub) protocol the camera supports, than find the update for nvr. i bought a cam that supports i13, als got the login information to download the i13 protocol update. now NVR does i13 and motion detection with this camera. ================== following website: www dot 115 dot com/?lang=en (Please change the two dots into punctuation.) The user ID is 360811909, and password is flm1991913. Please download the rar file named "i13.update" in the folder named "miniNVR". =================================

IPC is not realy mentioned at camera specs on ebay for example. So how to find them ? I know sku 315912 at DX works with my NVR on i9 protocol. i9 is not mentioned when i read the camera specs. also i9 with this cam has some issues i cannot block out parts of the images for motion detection. no problem for me, with i8 protocol on a differnt cam this works fine
-
same here with vanxse, 2 exactly the same camera's , brand, type, seller only little internal hardware version difference. 1 working, other not working. Second cannot be updated with the software i could update the first.
-
mine is a aevision, just google. problem is that there a are different devices, using different software anf hardware . Just pointing to a manufacturer or a firmware might kill youre NVR
-
i use onvif manager............ are you pointing to 'Onvif Device Manager' the stand alone software ? in that tool i see my 4 camera's as Onvif 2.0, only 1 is working with NVR as should, on i8 protocol. i ordered a new NVR with other cams that should do another protocol i13, wainting for that one to come and test. DX also sell's camera's that can connect to i8 protocol, i heard.
