If you want WIFI IP CAMS, you have 2 options that would work for you. Option 1: Buy a NVR with 2 Ethernet ports, will be way more expensive. (Your best Option, DS-9608NI-ST) But I highly doubt you will pay that much for it though. Option 2: Link the router that you want the cameras to be on, to your main one, and set the dedicated router for the cameras as a Access point with a different IP Scheme. Main router: 192.168.1.xxx and Camera router: 192.168.2.xxx . Just make sure your Subnet mask to 255.255.0.0 to be able to access the cameras. Also i would make the NVR 192.168.1.xxx with subnet 255.255.0.0 Do you know the exact model number of the NVR that you will be getting.

What your saying is you want to do redundancy to the NVR. Yes it is possible, as long as once you add the HDD to the NVR, you select it as Redundancy. But, if i was you, i would go into each camera and set the NetHDD to each camera and let the cameras record to it as a backup.

Axis? Or something just as good but cheaper?
abdelm01 replied to vandam's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I feel your frustration. First thing i would do is tell us about the garden environment. Is it outdoors or in a green house? If outdoors, you might not want to rely on a cameras motion detectors, since you will get movement from trees and plants, that will take up your space and drive your email crazy, they are not accurate with extra sensitive areas. You might want to take in mind to add a PIR or similar and have it connected to a camera alarm input.( make sure it has one.) How's the weather? Summer? Winter? Do you have animals that you cross your garden at night that could trigger your motion detectors. -
Thanks for the response. I ended up buying the DS-7604NI-SE NVR from Amazon after doing a lot more homework. I didn't like the idea of buying an NVR that was a little bit cheaper without POE capabilities and having to run wires to a POE switch as well... Too many wires! I bought a Western Digital Purple 1TB harddrive to go with the NVR. WD recommends their purple harddrive for CCTV systems. I also ordered 2 Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I cameras to start out. Great hope it works out. FYI. If you start getting errors with your Hard Drive, return it and get a Seagate SV35. I had trouble with a few of those WD Drives before and i stopped using them period.

abdelm01 replied to Geneyus's topic in General Digital Discussion
As long as its Onvif based, you have a really high chance of it working, Plus here are some other ones thats supported. -
I would go with Option 1. Hikvision is really reliable and has a friendly user interface, easy to use.

24VAC and 12VDC maximum distance
abdelm01 replied to xodid2's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Then why not just use a 24Vac camera as there is already one built into 24Vac cameras. Because i am using it on an IP Camera, it goes into a POE over Coax converter transceiver that accepts 12VDC only. Its been up and running for a couple years now. -
Problem with Hikvision 2032 after firmware upgrade
abdelm01 replied to Chris67's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
So after you upgrade the camera via Web Interface using FW V5.2.3, it bricked right after that? When using TFTP, does it say successful, are you using it correctly? Does it say your IP is 192.0.0.128 or a different IP. Also can you take a screen shot of the TFTP after you have tried to reload the FW. Try using earlier versions: http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Cameras/DS-2CD2xx2/ If still no luck, you will have to RMA it back to Hikvision, could be the CMOS chipped went out due to V5.2.3 -
Problem with Hikvision 2032 after firmware upgrade
abdelm01 replied to Chris67's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions

Try this one: http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Cameras/DS-2CD2xx2/V5.2.3%20build%20141024/ If that doesn't work, try this one: http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Cameras/DS-2CD2xx2/V5.2.0%20build%20140721/ -

Problem with Hikvision 2032 after firmware upgrade
abdelm01 replied to Chris67's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Did you try to put am english FW on it or Chinese. Try to TFTP it again. -
This is for you Network Guys out here. Guys I've had some issues in the past with point to point wireless where i could not find the right product nor get the bandwidth right. Now i need to put a system up at a ranch, here are the specs: Will be installing 3 sets of camera on 3 different buildings but 2 of the building will not have a network for connectivity because they are barns that hold horses etc. From the main house to each barn is around half a mile. I need to install cameras on each building but will have a NVR at each location for local recording, but would need to access the NVR remotely. I need a good wireless system that you have used and seen from experience that works great. Each building will have around 5 cameras on the barns, so you could say a minimum of 30MBPS to be transferred through that one access point/bridge. SO i just need a good recommendation of a point to point system that you know is worth the money. I have used some cheaper ones but no good outcome. Thanks

Hikvision DS-2CD3332-I w/ 5.2.0 reboot / not respond issue
abdelm01 replied to coolj's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
If you SADP can discover it, then you should be able to into the camera. Is you PC and Camera on the same IP scheme? If you want to reload the FW, download this Batch Upgrading Tool and install it. One you open up the tool, click on show devices and add the camera, then make sure you select the reboot the device after upgrade and then select you file location and upgrade. Here is the link to the tool, the link will expire in 36HRS: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6g30rwxl37auh91/Batch%20Upgrading%20Tool%28v2.0%29.exe?dl=0 -
All those questions that Don has asked, are really important. I think the IRIS is going out on it, if it is then thou have to get the camera replaced. Also if you want to upgrade the camera to the 5.2.0 you can to get that step out of the way. That's what i would do first. FW: http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Cameras/DS-2CD2xx2/V5.2.0%20build%20140721/#

What is the temperature there. Also is that the DS-2CD2032. Log into the Camera Web interface and under configurations, what does the Model# say. We can try to upgrade the FW to 5.2.0 to see if that would help.

Hikvision DS-7104N-SN/P Hard drive & setup advice please
abdelm01 replied to BlackCat81's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Seagate SV35 is going to be your best hard drive to use in a Hikvision Recorder. I have tried a lot of different ones and those to be the best ones that work very well with Hiks Recorders. I honestly had a lot of issues with WD, so i would not recommend using WD Drives. Here is a link to ones of those, feel free to look around for a cheaper one: http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Surveillance-3-5-Inch-Internal-ST4000VX000/dp/B00JW53C5Y Also yes the NVR will power up its cameras without having any kind of external injectors. -
Can you find out the Part Number of that specific camera that you want.

Order you some online. You can check on Amazon.

Grounding / power problem on CAMS ?
abdelm01 replied to bentech's topic in General Digital Discussion
Have you tried to view the cameras on a different monitor. First thing i would do is check the terminations on both ends of the lines. -
i can view in ip address but in domain i cant view
abdelm01 replied to goldbond's topic in Computers/Networking
Did you create a Domain so you can view your Camera System remotely, or did you create it to access you router remotely. What kind of router do you have. If you have a Surveillance System, what brand is it. -
Third party license fees for DVRs
abdelm01 replied to MattFlah's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Ya i never liked that. They can do that because if they just sell the DVR, without selling any cameras, well they won't be in business long if everyone buys 3rd party cameras with their DVR. They have to make money somewhere. Hikvision does not charge a fee like that. You can try them out. They support a lot of 3rd party devices out there. -
Hikvision - how to use alarm outputs from web interface?
abdelm01 replied to Securame's topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
Oh i see what you are saying. Hmm that weird why that would not be a part of the web interface. i just really noticed that. I'll email them and see if i can put in a request for them to see if that would be possible to integrate in the Web Interface. Good feature to have when testing and all. -
Hikvision live view presets in the NVR web interface?
abdelm01 replied to alexf40's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Ya deff cant do that in Web Interface. The Web interface is really for configuring and setting up the NVR. Hikvision really did not set it up to be some what of a Client.
