  1. Yes, you can get into the Camera Interface as long as you have the latest FW on the NVR. If you have the latest., go to Configurations--> Network Settings--> Check Enable Virtual Host. Now go to Camera Management and you will see a link to the camera. What FW version do you have on the NVR. Here is the Latest one if needed. : http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Recorder/DS-7600NI-SE%207600NI-V%28VP%29/V3.0.10%20Build141125/ Also after you upgrade your FW for the NVR, make sure you delete the web browsers history and exit your web browser, because you will not see the new settings if you do not do that.
  2. Are all the gateways the same on the Cameras and NVR? If so, then i would put the NVR on the same Switch as the Cameras to see if there is a problem with the router giving access to the switch when you are in remote view.
  3. As long as you have those 10 Cameras imported into the NVR, you will be able to see all the cameras through IVMS by port forwarding the 3 ports for the NVR and then adding the NVR in the IVMS Client. On the NVR directly, can you see all 10 Cameras? Is the Lan port on the NVR connected to the switch on a regular port or one of the UP LINKS ports? Do yo have all 3 ports forwarded? Is the RTSP Port higher than 2000?

    ONVIF Help

What is the FW on the NVR. You should be able to get it to work if you assign the cameras IP and then manually enter the info in the camera settings and make sure you choose onvif protocol for that specific port that it is connected to in the back of the NVR. What is the make of the camera?
  5. What Firmware do you have on it. Have you tried reloading the Firmware? Also check to make sure the cat 5 is not crossing an unshielded power cable somewhere in the roof from Point A to Point B. I have had many problems in Casinos where cameras would go in and out like that. But also could have an issue with the camera. Also put the camera back in default mode to make sure you have not messed up an settings and start from scratch. But Reload the FW first. Do you need the FW?
  6. Looks better. Usually you would have to restart the cameras also after resetting the defaults in the DVR so the cameras could take effect of the settings. Hopefully it was just that.
  7. Can you put al your settings back on default for images. It could be that the brightness or some other kind of image settings was done at night and looked good for night mode but looks bad for day mode. Just set everything back to defaults and see what happens. Also it could be the IRIS going out that cause the sensors to change effect when light applied to the lens
  8. Are you 100% positive you can't get more than 2 IPs. Im pretty sure you can, i haven't seen any ISP that doesn't allow that. I do that for all customers that have Medical Clinics. One goes to there firewall and another go to a separate router for the cameras so there database will not be vulnerable to hacks. If i was you i would grab that 16P Switch and put it in front of the routers and try getting online through each one to see, ISPs don't tell you they give you what ever amount of Public IPs. Anytime you plug in more than one device, it will automatically pull multiple IPs.

    help with old kit

Are these Analog or IP cameras. Are you happy with the quality, or do you want better? If you want better, i would go with IP, but you can also get a Hybrid DVR that can take both analog and IP if you do not want to get rid of your old cameras. When you say complete this system, what are you trying to achieve ]?
  10. First thing i would do is update to the latest FW: http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Recorder/DS-7600NI-SE%207600NI-V%28VP%29/V3.0.10%20Build141125/ The HDD should not be an issue, i have installed many WD on Hikvision NVR, the only thing i seen before with the WD HDD, which i really never like and i use SV35 HDD, is sometimes they can put so much power out of that small NVR: After updating the FW to v3.0.10,and if the issue persists , i would turn off the NVR and unplug the HDD and turn it back on and let it run to see how it runs, then if that doesn't work, unplug all cameras and let it run and if it doesn't shut off, then plug one camera at a time and see how long it stays on with different amounts of cameras plugged in. Could be your Power supply going out. If issue still persists, RMA it back to Hikvision, but make sure you describe your details and what you have done, because they will plug it on and update it and send it back. This is so we can throw different issues out the window.
  11. Those are probably just some after market Chinese brand. Ya thats pretty bad. Looks like only the outside cameras are getting the white screen? Do me a favor and put your hand on the lens of one of the white screened camera, and make sure you cover it where the sensor kicks on IR and when it does, remove your hand and look at the screen and tell me what happens. Your best bet is to replace those camera and DVR. I would go with a fair 4CH NVR that shouldn't cost you more than 600. To me it looks like those cameras were intended for indoor use and not great for outdoor use and over time it took a tole on them. Replace them and save your self a headache.
  12. Well i don't think you would have an issue. I would out a switch in between the modem and routers. The reason why I would attach a switch, is to give 2 different Public IP address to the routers in order to have no conflict between the 2 routers and you can have direct access to that NVR just in case the 2 routers conflict with both trying to be admin with giving out DHCP to what ever is connected to them. Also you still will be able to access the NVR if your are connected to the D-link 524 router by going through the Public IP. Also if you want to view the cameras on a mobile device, you would need to port forward the RTSP Port also, make sure you change it to a number higher than port 2000, some ISP block anything lower for realtime viewing. Also it shouldn't matter what the port is on the camera as long as you are connecting the cameras to the NVR locally, which you are, all you would have to do is search for the cameras through the NVR and if you have an NVR that is PLUG and PLAY, you should be able to go into the camera settings and change that to Manual. You can use SADP Tool to discover the cameras and give them their own IP and add the cameras in the Camera settings in the NVR. I would be more than happy to Dial in and do it for you if you are still having trouble. Attached is a diagram of how i wound do it, just opinion.
  13. In IE, run that IP address in compatibility mode. And make sure all Active X and firewall settings are properly set on or off in IE settings.
  14. Man, that is some bad quality cameras. Does the whiteness occur at certain times, like when the IRs kick in or when it rains etc . Did you check your cable connections. Try changing the cable ports on the back of the dvr and see if the whiteness still happens on the same camera channel or just on the camera itself.

  16. Soooo.... Do you still need help with port forwarding for remote viewing??? If so, heres a guide from Samsung. http://www.samsungsecurity.com/support/PF_EN_130123/PF_EN_130123.html
  17. Either it gets restarted or someones shuts down the NVR not properly. Is your NVR on a UPS and Surge Protector? If you have a flicker in the electricity, it cause the NVR to start and is harmful for it. Are you having any issues with it?
  18. Does your DVR have a Model Number. Look on the bottom , left, right, or back of the DVR to see if there is a sticker that would have the model number. If not, most likely it won't since its from china website, go into the menu and look for anything about device information. If you still cannot find out what the model number, take a few pictures of the DVR, from the back and front and Menus, and post them here. Someone here has to have seen it before. Also these cameras, what was the environment like for them. As in indoor or outdoors, are they directly hit by weather, does the sun beam light into the camera lens during the day? Do you know the brand of the cameras? Look under the lens cover or bottom of camera for Model Number. They might be a bad quality that just couldn't survive any longer.
  19. Please check your email, i will email it to you shortly.
  20. Are they Analog or IP? What are the model numbers. Sounds like the Iris went out on them. What happens when they kick into night mode?
  21. I am searching 'Hikvision CSX' and not coming up with much. Could you post a link to what you are referring? Sorry they are referred to as CSX, but here are the part numbers: 128CH DS-96128NI-XX 256CH: DS-96256NI-XX http://www.hikvision.com/europe/Products_show.asp?id=9708
  22. so you are trying to connect your DVR wirelessly using a dongle? are you going to plug the dongle into the DVR or is the dongle attached to a device and expect the DVR to connect to it? What you can do is get a router that suppers 3G/4G mobile broadband connectivity and run a Cat5E cable to the DVR. There are many more routers that support that but need to know model info of dongle. http://www.dlinkmea.com/site/index.php/site/productDetails/530

    really dumb question about nvr's

Just like Boogieman said, as long as you are not trying to access your cameras from outside your network you should be good. Even if you are trying to view your cameras locally, you will not have an issue because i bet your router is a min 100mb throughput locally and it will not affect you from getting on the web and using yout 1.5mb/s download. Man i would have a heart attack if i can only get 1.5mb/sec download and 512kb/sec upload in bandwidth to the outside world.
  24. What is the IP address of your PC and the IP address of the Camera. Also make sure you have the latest web component installed. Use Firefox or Chrome to view via Web. Web Component: http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Software/02%20%20%20Web%20Components/Multi-brower%20web%20video%20componet%20for%20win64%20v3.0.3.3%20build120419_en/
  25. Good to hear they are working for you. Storage server, if you have a separate server that is used for storage, you can link the cameras that you imported into IVMS-4200 to it to record to. Streaming Server, you add cameras to it and stream multiple to multiple clients located on the same LAN. Almost like PCNVR but PCNVR is better. CSX stands for Central Server Expander. It is just like an NVR but on an Enterprise levee that hold up to 64CH, 128CH, and 256CH. It gives you a lot of bandwidth to work with.
