  1. Can you please copy a link of the chinese camera that you see from aliexpress that you are talking about that has the wires exposed, just copy and paste the link from the aliexpress website please.
  2. When this happens. Does it happen in the NVR Feed and Camera Web interface feed? Please tell me the Firmwares of the devices, go into each device and look under device info or system info
  3. It doesn't sound like a bug issue but rather a configuration issue. First i would update the camera to the latest FW and we can throw that conclusion out the door. Here is a link for that FW http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Cameras/DS-2CD2xx2/V5.2.0%20build140721/#
  4. what camera and nvr, also need firmware versions for each device. Also is the camera plugged directly into the NVR or is it plugged independently in a switch?

    hybrid nvr/dvr

No need to get two different devices, how many Analog Cameras does he want to keep. I have tried Hikvisions Hybrid and so far it is pretty good. http://www.hikvision.com/en/us/Products_show.asp?id=6735

    mp4 or Mjpeg or h.264

    HikVision DVRs/NVRs are h.264
  10. Did you just upgrade the firmware, or is that a MultiLanguage DVR
  11. Is it that IP (192.168.1.14) , if so, you would have to either select that IP Address and click on Add , or Click on Add and enter that IP address. I have not messed with that specific brand of NVRs, but it should be like that as long as it is Onvif based NVR.
  12. hey i have a macbook pro and Lenova laptop, and i work for a video surveillance company. when installing a DVR at a a job site, you would need a monitor to attach to it to configure. Is there a software that allows you to connect the DVR via VGA to the laptop and use as a regular monitor through a software, than rather having to take a monitor and all that hassle to every job site. Most of our consumers won't have a monitor to use, they use our Client Software to view/manage cameras. The DVR uses a Linux OS.

    HIKVISION DS2CD2432F-IWU 3MP CUBE SIREN

Right, that is correct, anytime you plug a device into the POE ports on the back of the NVR, it automatically assigns it an IP Address on its own because it is set on PLUG and PLAY, you can disable that by going into the configurations and electing Camera Management, you will see all the ports, if you click on one and Select Modify, you will be able to choose manual instead of Plug and Play. But i don't recommend you doing that. If you are wanting to enter the Cameras Web Interface while it is still attached to the NVR, you need to update your firmware to the latest one, and when going into Configurations, select Network Settings and then select Advanced, you will need to put a check in the box next to Enable Virtual Host. After you have done that, go to Camera Management tab in Configuration and now you should see a hyperlink next to each camera, and when you click on that link it will take you to that cameras Web Interface. You can do what you like in it now and it will not change, but always remember that the NVR has higher authority than the camera since it is the Server and its recommended to change settings in the NVR and the information that you cannot find in the NVR then you can go into the cameras web interface and change it there, but if you are having alarm sounds, you can go into the Exceptions tab and go through everyone of the alarms and disable them. And also change the Motion settings as you please in the NVR side because it has higher priority than the camera when coming down to settings. Here is the link to get the latest firmware, and be patient with the site loading up, its servers are a little slow. http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product%20Firmware/Recorder/DS-76%2677%2686%2685%2695%2696-ST%20-SP%20-XT-RT/ If you still need help, send me message.

    Camera for Swann H.264

WOW, I'm suppressed you can actually see a video feed from those cameras. Honestly this is what i recommend.....Rather than trying to find a better Analog camera to replace, it is 100% better to actually upgrade your entire camera system because Analog has really bad quality no matter which watt you go. I recommend you replacing your system with IP, because you can customize each individual camera to the specific locations environment and you will love it and THANK ME afterwards. But if you really want to spend less money on a newer system than i would definitely go with HD-TVI Camera system from HikVision and you can use your old Coaxial Lines that are already there because if you go with IP, you will need to replace the Coaxial Cables with Ethernet Cable (I recommend that you go with IP for best System). But if you still insist on keeping your old system but just want to replace that one camera, than i would go with a minimum 720TVL Camera with either a varifocal lens or 3.6MM lens, or if you want to get more of an angle on your property then get a 2.8MM lens, you can go to Swann.com and get one from there or find the one that suits you rom there website and find the exact one for cheaper online but make sure its compatible with your DVR. What is the model number on that DVR of yours.

  19. Well on the Fisheye, you will only get one stream which is the first stream that you view 360 from above. The rest of the streams are not that great at all, you will be pulling about CIF resolution out of the other streams because they will be displaying in Optical Zoom pretty much. Yes you can get all streams into the PCNVR or Client. Go to Configurations-> Advanced Configurations-> System-> Make sure Real-Time Mode is Disabled. If you are still having trouble with that then you might need to update you firmware on the PCNVR/Clients. I just tested the 3MP Fisheye both ways on the PCNVR and the Client and works great, i will attach a snapshot of it to show you. Also if you want a better view than i suggested getting the 6MP Fisheye, i have that now and looks way better, I'm getting about 1.3MP on all the other streams while getting 6MP on the Main Fisheye View.

    Camera for Swann H.264

Well Swann cameras are HikVision Cameras so that being said, you can get any camera that is Onvif based and will work, they support some 3rd party cameras but most don't work fully. So you can hook up any HikVision cameras and will work. May i ask what cameras do you have now that are bad, what model numbers are they. Also to be precise, the camera that is watching your drive where your car was broken into, how far is the car from the camera location. You can get a wide angle camera but there would be no purpose of it when you zoom in and the image is pixelated. Know specific specifications will help you get the best system possible.

Hikvision Pinhole camera at an angle

and if you can actually take a picture of the area you are wanting the camera to see and the camera location where you would lie it to be mounted and attach it

Hikvision Pinhole camera at an angle

Is this camera going to be watching outside by the front door and towards the outside gate or is it going to be inside. Also are you wanting to catch the gate and the people approaching the door? Please give a little detailed explanation of what you are trying to see in all the image. The way that i am interpreting it, i would recommend you mounting it onto of the door so if someone walks up you will be able to catch peoples face when they walk up. Also please give the measurements that you are trying to see and i have the same camera here at my office for testing purposes and i will try to create the same atmosphere that you are trying to get and send you a snap shot of. You can email me direct if you would like for quicker response at abdelm@unitycore.us
  24. here is a snapshot of my configs just in case you need it.
  25. I don't know why it would do that. But here is the latest PCNVR (vs 1.3.6.2) http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Software/01%20%20%20Video%20Management%20Software/01%20%20%20iVMS4200-PCNVR/Hikvision%20iVMS-4200%20PCNVR%20v1.3.6.2%20%28Windows%29/ When clicking on the link, bare with it, because there servers are a little slow opening up the website but will open up within a few seconds. also if you cannot download that file i can dropbox it to you if you cannot download it Download it and use it instead of the one you have and in your configuration settings you will see your Network Settings and set your IP and using IVMS-4500 on your iOS device enter your ip address and it should work. I have mine setup and works flawlessly internally. Make sure your firewall and network sharing settings on your computer are not blocking any connections coming in. Disable firewall and any kind of internet/firewall/antivirus protection software to do some testing and see if that works. If still having an issue, i don't mind remotely coming in through teamviewer on your computer and taking a look to see what is going on.
