Are you powering the drive externally? ie using a USB hub? Seems off the point, but what protocol are you using from the cameras? The drive has a power adapter, it's not USB powered. The cameras are using Onivf for a protocol. I am using 4 Dahua IPC-HFW2100 and 3 Dlink DCS-2132L (WiFi). This is the drive i'm using: http://amzn.com/B00834SJS0 Also, i tried using the Network Video Monitor Software that came with the Mini NVR and tried to make changes this way, but the settings don't apply after i hit "Save Parameters". When i go back into it, they are back to the default settings. Is there a reset option? Maybe i can set it all up again. I have rebooted it several times. Not sure what else to do.

yup, more then once. It says its on Version V4.0, build date: 2014-04-17.

Hey guys, i got one of these mini NVR's the other day and i set it all up last night. Everything works great, except i am not able to get it to record. I spent hours trying to figure it out. I am using a Seagate 2TB hard drive. It shows the drive connected to it and i select the Manual record option for all cameras, but it doesn't actually record...anyone help would be appreciated. I have looked through this thread but i haven't come across anything, unless i missed it. Is there a firmware update i need to do?
