I am building a new house. Went out to visit it today in order to run some additional CAT6 that the builder wasn't going to do for me. I asked them to install 6 points of CAT6 for future cameras. They ran CAT6, power wires, and coax. Now I am confused as to what type of system to install. I had planned on a PoE type system using the CAT6, but now my options seem to be wide open. It is all in my telecom closet where I have plenty of room to integrate everything.
If you had a decent budget, what would you do? HD SDI? IP? What is the most trouble free and future proof? Any thoughts would be great.
