Has anybody used a graphics card with TV out and viewed the image on a normal telly? What was the quality like?

What are the best cables to use for CCTV cameras. I would prefer to use one cable and send both power and signal down it. I have used Cat5 as a test and it works but it is difficult to terminate well and the baluns are very expensive. I have heard there is a cable known as shotgun cable which is coax with 2 strands for power. Any good? Can i run a 240v a power cable in the same peice of (3" x 2") trunking as my cameras which are using coax or cat5??

Well the plan is to use an RF modulator with s-video in to add the signal to a house' exisiting tv aerial to allow all TV's in the house to view the cameras. As long as the picture quality is going to be usable its fine, it does not need to be totally crystal clear.

Yes i got the card from y3kcctv. Not impressed with their customer service. I managed to download the geovision software, ver 6.05 and install it ok. If the next version of geovision will not work with the card then i think i shall be returning it!! Anyone else used the cards from y3k??

How does Geovision get along with Athlon chips??

Has anybody had any success using micro ATX cases with geovision cases. Do they overheat. I am thinking about using them for residential installtions.

Has anybody had any experience using a modulator to make a tv out signal from a PC available to other televisions around the house. I am hoping to be able to somehow add the signal from the PC to the existing tv aerial cable in the loft using a modulator, then hopefully each television which has an aerial point in the house should be able to view the cctv from the PC. Any thought???

Has anybody heard of / know where i can find further information on q cams. Possibly system q cameras. They are small black cameras
