Q-see is recommending reformat the hard drive (which did nothing) and now update the system. But isn't it possible this is a camera issue? I asked Q-see if these were Dahua cameras and they said no.

Can you folks tell me why I'm getting triple images with my Q-See QH8003B (SDI) cameras, running on the Q-See QT714 system? They seem to appear only for nearby fast-moving objects. Thanks!

Can I add a question: I've been trying to search the forum for "Q-See" (both in quotes and with no quotes) and I get: No posts were found because the word q-see is not contained in any post. Yet if I search the site using Google (Q-see site: cctvforum.com) then I get lots of hits. Am I doing something wrong? Didn't see this covered in an introductory FAQ, but maybe I missed it.

Thieves will destroy a $3000 A/C unit to retrieve $20 of scrap copper from it. Ask me how I know. Now ask me why I hastily ran out and bought a Q-See Surv Vid system at Sam's Club (a 1080p package, the QT714). Should I have studied more, before purchasing? Undoubtedly. Is the Q-See system working? Reasonably well. Now I'm on a mission to make the system easily portable. I refurbish houses, and this system will be schlepped from house to house.
