I recently installed a new DVR with HD-CVI cameras. I entered the OSD to fine tune the cameras during setup with no issue. The next evening, with the cameras in b/w mode, I attempted to open up the OSD but the menu would not display. I tried this on seven cameras but none would bring up the OSD menu. The next day, with the cameras in normal color mode, I was able to enter OSD menu and make changes. For whatever reason these CVI cameras will not allow OSD menu during night time. Has anyone experienced this issue and/or know of a solution?

I bought my equipment from Security Camera King, model number TRIDVR-EL8ME4 which I believe is Dahua equipment. A technician from SCK gave me a link to most recent firmware which is almost identical to the one you posted, but not exactly. Here is the file: https://app.box.com/s/wkkl6rj3bvwud3rtxscvkstzx7qqjtob SCK File Name: General_HCVR7x08-4K_Eng_PN_V3.218.0000001.2.R.170808.bin SCK File Length: 21,619 KB Your File Name: General_HCVR7x08-4K_Eng_NP_V3.218.0000001.2.R.170808.bin Your File Length: 21,744 KB The name of these two files differ with the letters 'PN' being reversed to 'NP'. I am waiting to flash the firmware until I have made certain that I will not brick my DVR. Can you offer any explanation as to why they're different? Any help or comment is welcome, Thanks

I recently upgraded my home security system using HD-CVI 2MP cameras and compatible DVR. During setup I entering the OSD to fine tune the camera settings. The other evening I wanted to make another change but could not bring up the OSD menu. Can someone confirm my conclusion that the OSD menu is not accessible at night and explain to me why?

I have an older DVR with D1 being the highest record resolution available. I plan on buying 2 to 4 cameras to use with this DVR. Would I benefit from buying 850-900 TVL cameras or would I be wasting money since D1 is the highest record resolution? Thanks for helping.

I have a Swann DVR8-3200 setup and use their SwannView Link software to monitor the DVR through my home network LAN. The design concept of this viewer is nice, however the functionality is very poor. Does anyone know if there is another software package that will interface with my Swann DVR to replace SwannView Link?

Help with motion setting at night time (Swann DVR8-3200H)
burchis replied to burchis's topic in Security Cameras
My setup is a combination of old and new cameras. I used to have a Swann DVR4-1200 that came with 4 cameras. That system worked great. The motion sensing worked good both in day and night. I wanted to add more cameras so bought the DVR8-3200. It came with 4 new cameras and I kept the 4 cameras from the DVR4-1200. -
Help with motion setting at night time (Swann DVR8-3200H)

I have 8 cameras on my DVR8-3200 system which is an update from my older DVR4-1200. I am unable to find the right combination of sensitivity settings that will properly detect motion at night. All works well in daylight but as the sun goes down the system wants to record all night long. I realize that the brightness, contrast, and hue along with camera sensitivity all play a part but I can not find the right formula. Can anyone give any advise to my issue?
