    Either would work... I would use the top one if you have a bunch of cables.

    Mounting surface should not be a problem. I would just use white outdoor caulk around the base and it would blend in.

    I do not have one of these but I think in the viewer you enter in the IP address of the NVR instead of the cameras.

    It is called dynamic DNS or DDNS. Do a search for DDNS on the forum and you should get a bunch of info.
