Hi, I need a little help navigating the surveillance jungle. I need a really good camera that can monitor my vacation home when im not there.
The system must withstand cold weather and wind as it will be installed outdoors and winters are cold where we have our vacation home. Then I want to use a phone and a computer to watch live. It is also important that the camera has a motion detector that can send push notifications to my phone when someone walks around the area.
* Great picture night and day (maybe you have to supplement this with an IR spotlight)
* Motion detector
* Able to withstand severe cold, wind and weather
* Upload all events to the cloud so they are stored safely (not important a NVR is also good)
* Overload the network minimally, only when watching live or when the motion detector is triggered
* Send push notifications to my phone
What I want to achieve with the camera, is to see how it looks around when I'm not there. I want to know how much snow it is on the roof and i want to see if unauthorized people walks around the area when I'm not there. I also want to see which of my neighbors who are sneaking around. I can also add that the cottage is situated in the woods with no houses close by, so at night it becomes pitch black especially in the fall, spring and winter.
I have searched and read a bit in different forums and found an NVR and a camera that seems good. What do you think about these?
NVR
AVTECHs AVH304A or AVH504P

IP Camera
Avtech AVM561H with integrated heat

To me it seems that Avtech makes affordable products in the middle class who are of OK quality, does anyone have experience with these? Then I wonder if you can connect this camera to an infrared spotlight and can i use push notifications with it?
To the specialists in this forum that knows everything about surveillance, what do you think of the system I have put together? Is this an ok system or can you recommend one that is better?
