Rory, I just emailed you back. Thanks
-
It's a 600-4 30fps. US. Installed in a Shuttle XPC, with SiS 662 chipset. I've done a dozen like these before, but it's been almost a year.

No, everything is brand new. I'm going to try the card in a different system and see what happens. It's been awhile since I built one so I noticed the found new HW wizard stated it found GV604(S) Video Capture A. Is that normal on the newer cards?
-
Did that already. Rory thinks it may be a bad card.

In Device Mgr. I update the driver, point to the CD and it comes back with the Windows message of can't install because no drivers found.
-
No. Driver install off CD acts like it does it's thing with no errors but Device manager still shows conflict. I tried running drivers from 7.X CD but same problem. I haven't changed my hardware platform.

I have always stayed away from the Celeron procs, but in viewing some old threads just now it looks like many of you are using them. Is there any noticable performance issues? I'd love to hear from someone who's tried both the Celeron and the standard P4 procs.
-
Well heck, that's what I figured. I was just suprised to see so many folks using them. Thanks for the PW help.
-
I'm with you, but I think I found one that will work. My issue is space and physical security. Most of my units are in fast food stores where I have limited space and employees who want to crack into Windows for Internet.
-
My bad, that should have read XPC.
-
you can lock down users as much as you want, but anybody can still choose logout. Any fix under 6.x?
-
So you believe that the system still records? I'll test that and see. I'm still surprised that you can't disable this option because it still gives up access to Windows for people who shouldn't have this accesss.
-
I have removed evey right I can possibly see as an option, but still the Logout works. This is clearly a bug in 6.X. Anybody can walk up to the system and just click Logout and GeoVision shuts down.

What web port are you using? If you're using 80 try changing it to something like 8080. Some ISPs block 80.
-
Is this only because I'm using the demo, or is the full version the same way?
-
My bad, I guess I could have actually tried connecting first. I assumed because IE takes you to the DSL modems admin interface on 80 this program would do the same.
