I think I have answered my own problem, use a pair of video-to-cat54 balums (with power) Any negatives for this approach?

Hi, I am looking at multi camera security systems linked to a central box, Maplin Swann kits or Floureon h.264 for example, but I am not able to run video cables to all the camera's from the box due to locations of some of the cameras. Are there other ways of interfacing the camera's, for example wireless or Cat5 cable? I am new to this forum and CCTV in general but have a good computer/electrical knowledge. Thanks, Brian
