    IP Outdoor

Point taken, i do have good ip cameras, housing with fan/heater, but the price for the camera, lens, brackets, housing etc....its too expensive for the consumer market. So more interesting is some low cost cameras that i might use outdoor. I know, i know....less cost, less quality But its not D1 that is most important for a consumer who wants to log on to his camera at work, just too see how the weather is at his cabin...
  3. Any suggestions for a outdoor ip cam with pan/tilt ? Need videoserver embedded. No wireless. Need to manage the cold weather in Scandinavia... I know there is some good cameras out there, but expensive too... This is for consumer market. Any suggestion?

Maybe i missed something...but isnt the main purpose for those cams to identificate number plates in the dark?? Day and night .. 24/7 guaranteed. (well not guaranteed actually .. its like a 85-90% ratio i believe) Yes, i know its a day & night, but a gas station will never be dark. So do you really need this high end camera then ? I cannot say ive ever seen such a camera on a gas station before..... I havent decided to disagree with you though, im just trying to understand this...

Well, i have heard a lot of those Extreme cameras, but thats only here at the forum, because here in Scandinavia ive never heard about them, and i cant see any distributor either. Most important for me, is to be able to compete with the other companies delivering cameras for these purposes, and i dont think anyone of them using Extreme. What prices are we talking about here anyway ? Actually i want to ask you guys to choose one of two options : either a WDR or a good day/night cam Thanks To Rikky : This guy wants 1 cam for each pump (lane) . There is always light under this roof, but sometimes it also might be a little sunshine on the cars standing there.

Hi! My first project in a gas-station I would apreciate if someone gave me some suggestions of cam-specs for usage on a gas-station. Its outdooor, but under a roof, but a variety of lighting. Need identification of car-plates etc. thanks Sorry for posting it in wrong forum...i dunno how to move it
