Hi,ayalas,PC-DVR is easy to expand,i mean you can plug up to 5 dvr cards on a pc to up to maximum 64 channels.but stand alone dvr can't. on the other hand,stand alone dvr is not easy to be infected virus. besides,pc-dvr has more demand on software,so it's convenient to add more function.but stand alone dvr can't. hi,Geovision is software compression card,it is good,but like what you said is a bit expensive,which can't support many channels,and compress data by chipsets of PC CPU but not the CARDS. maybe you can try the hardware compression cards. Chateau maybe is a France brand.

rabindra,i think it's the problem of the graphic card,or the graphic card's driver is not be installed correctly.Please reinstall your driver or change a nother graphic card to try.

In a word,the image quality of 2*16ch dvr is better than 32 ch dvr,in fact ,you can plug two 16ch dvr in one pc.
