Got motion detection to work today on another camera. This makes me think the one I was using was jacked. Also, does the mini NVR have a RTSP stream that I can view from a ip viewer or something like VLC? I don't want to have to type a firewall exception and have 8 ports open, one for each camera, if the mininvr re streams it anyway. The MultiNetCard menu shows the RTSP port but I cant connect to it on VLC because I don't know what the stream name and stuff is. Thanks.

Any word as to where to get the 8ch firmware for the Escam. I spoke to mike over the weekend by PM but have not yet gotten anything... maybe in my spam box? Also managed to get the individual Escam cameras for forward their stream and substream to IP camera viewer on android. I was able to do this through port forwarding to my surveillance subnet. Update, Found it in my spam box along with an apology for the delay. Thanks Mike! I have to say you all have customer service much better than most larger companies! Still no dice on the motion record. It says setting saved successfully but when I go back into the motion sensor panel it is reset again. I also cant get the alarm output function on the camera to trigger record. I guess I will be going with a different NVR...

Has anyone messed with these? Are they any good? I found a deal on one and considering getting one but can find very little documentation.

So after messing with my NVR and IP camera last night and today I was able to figure out how to 1) Get the Escam camera (not nvr that seems impossible at the moment) to work as an IP camera viewable with Android IPCam viewer basic. 2) There is absolutely nothing I can do on my end to repair the damage done to whatever setting got screwed up and broke motion record. I am currently awaiting firmware to fix this. If it doesn't then it is going back.

So, I waited about 30min and tried again and all the settings can be updated. Motion detection isn't yet working but as long as I can change everything else I can configure it as an alarm in the camera. Also, does anyone know if these NVRs output video in separate steams that I can use IPcam viewer for android to view? Update - after clicking out of a menu and back in the channel settings still arnt updating. I find it annoying that there is no factory reset option. Any chance someone can shoot me a copy of their blank config file and I can try dropping that in? Also, when I try to log in with putty it keeps asking for my user name and password but still says the login is wrong...

Anyone have a link to the new escam k108 firmware? When I first set the thing up motion sensing recording worked but then when I had to remove and re add a camera I can no longer save changes to channel settings like motion detection and the like. Seems crappy because resetting to defaults doesn't fix it.
