I have tried that. The problem seems to be that the network card on the NVR is not on. When an IP is assigned to it, the green light should blink, but it doesn't. In fact after a few seconds even the amber led goes off. I wonder if anyone have the USB files that would load the firmware for the 8 ch NVR. Cheers

Hello! I got a Mini 8ch NVR branded Cotier. I tried to upgrade the firmware to Xvision's using the tool, but once the first file completed the NVR lost connection to the network, i.e. the amber lights goes on for a few seconds and then off and the green light never blinks. I then tried the usb drive method, the NVR boots up and I get to the update page and I always get a "wrong file" message when I try to update the firmware. I tried all files listed in this forum and I have also downloaded the Cotier file from http://www.cotier.com.cn/en/ShowDownload.asp?id=8, but no luck. I cannot use the Telnet method as the NVR does not seem to get an IP address. The search function cannot find it and it is not at 192.168.1.188 as it was before the failed firmware update. Any ideas on how can I bring it back to life? Any suggestions are welcome. Cheers
