Quick question regarding "High POE" for PTZ IP camera..

Thanks for the reply.. This is going to be for a new construction home that is in process of being built.. Depending on how they run the wiring it should be about a 40ft-50ft run.. The camera would be going on the upper left corner of the second floor which would put it at about 20ft high and then to run to the central point where all cameras would meet is about 20 feet..
  2. I was reading up on a camera that I am interested in (HIKVision DS-2DF7276-AEL).. While looking at the specs its says that you can use either 24VAC or High-POE.. I was just trying to get some input as to what exactly "high-poe" is.. I am planning in using the HIK Vision NVR for my setup which has a built in 16 channel switch that also has poe output.. What will I need to be able to power the PTZ camera that specifies "high-poe"? Also what do most recommend? Use the cat6 for power or run separate power lines? Thanks for any input..
  3. Hello All.. I am new here and trying to get ready for an install.. A buddy of mine was able to get me a great deal on some cameras and now trying to figure out what the best NVR will be to pair them up with.. They are all HIK Vision 3mp cameras.. They are a mix of the dome and bullets.. The model numbers are DS-2CD2732F-I and DS-2CD2632F-I.. There are a total of 16 cameras.. I havn't hooked them all up yet but I want to get the best bang out of the cameras so I am willing to spend money on the NVR.. I was looking around online but there are so many conflicting statements.. I want to be able to record in the best resolution (no meaning the best available option but high enough resolution that picture quality does not suffer) and would look to have recordings saved for 30 days.. Any help would be appreciated...
