    Hard Drive Speed

About to build a new setup for my Video Insight server and trying to see how many cameras I can push on this server. I have two WD Purple Surveillance Drives setup in a raid 0 Config. I ran Crystal Disk Mark and get a write speed of 239MB. I should have no issue writing 50 1.2 MP cameras to this storage right?

    32 Inch Monitor

When i use the Multiview on a 20inch monitor it looks okay thats why i was thinking it was the tv. When viewing the cam full screen on the tv its looks okay but you are looking at much more then when they are shrunk down. I did confirm that the software is always streaming them at their full res regardless of the view, Video Insight said they are working on a way to change this, but they are full res.
  3. I just finished setting up a new camera system in one of our schools and I am wondering what tv or monitor would be best for the security guys. I currently am using a 32inch LG tv but when the cameras are shrunk down to fit 25 on the screen the picture looks very grainy. I imagine this is because of the pixel density on the tv. The computer resolution is set to 1920x1080 and the cameras are streaming at 1280x720. Would a tv in the link below solve my problems? http://www.supercircuits.com/lg-32-in-full-hd-ips-led-lcd-monitor-32se3kb-b Thanks Jeremy
  4. I am setting up a new system using Video Insight and running into a slight issue. When viewing multiple cams in a smaller view they start too look grainy and jagged. If you look a the corner of walls or anything with a straight line you can really see it. I contacted support and they spent hours on my machine and cant figure it out. It does this my my cameras and when I load their demo site so it doesn't seem to be a camera issue it something with my computer or graphics settings. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have attached a link for a pic of an example of what I am seeing if you look at indoor cams you can really tell when you look at the cubical or corners of the walls. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4wZXmVomACnYUZhVFN0bHRKWFk/view?usp=sharing Thanks Jeremy
  5. But their demo sight looks fine for them but when I view it, its horrible.
  6. I am running a HP Ml110G7 server and IP Configure ESM software to capture my cameras. My question is does it matter what Graphics card I have in my server? When viewing and H.264 stream on an Axis Q6045 at full resolution 15FPS and 30 compression I am loosing lots of frames. Wondering if this could be the graphics card. Any help would be appreciated.
  7. CPU is an Intel Xeon E31220 @3.10GHz. When Viewing the cameras live in ESM or even the recordings from a client machine it was very choppy. I called ESM tech support and we pulled the raw video from the server and when you open it in VLC it says it recorded at 1-2FPS. Any sugestions?
