Yeah a splitter would do the trick except if you have multiple cameras and only a single input on the monitor. to top it off you will also need to amp the signal otherwise it will be very dark on the monitor. I would probably just get it to work with the video out on the graphics card. I do know there was an issue with pink screens just cant remember what the fix was.

Are you looking for a camera with inbuilt PoE or a switch that has PoE? I have looked at the HP/Compaq switches that have PoE a little expensive for my tastes but you may get cheaper where you are.
