Antenna comes into Splitter box.....this is where your modulator should go, inline between antenna and splitter, make sure you buy a Modulator with Gain pot like Labgear. The other thing is a loftbox, again there is a CCTV input on it but you still need to hook modulator into it and again turn the gain down on it as most are set to high causing lot problems

WEBRO BSKYB TWIN SATELLITE CABLE For CCTV Cameras
Neutech replied to bornnslippy's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Will work but can cause problems as already stated. I left 300m RG59 on a clients new build with the Electrical contractor to install as per the Plans, his guys decided to steal it and used the twin mini Sky cable you have, out of 12 cameras 9 were 100% the other 3 were ghosting and interferance intermitantly, lucky for the client they were all accessable so we replaced them. Other issue was termination as the mini stuff needed BNC with mini collar which i eventually got from ConnectorCo buy a roll of RG59 or Cat5 and save yourself headache -
I've seen plenty of DVR's show HDD faults, a few were faulty HD but most were PSU faults, The PSU had enough power to run the DVR but not the HD When you say you tried a new HD was it indeed new? I'd change the PSU and try that and see what happens Sorry my knowledge of AVTECH has only been at a level of removing them to replace Hope you get sorted

Make and Model would be a good starting point Also is it powered by direct mains connection or run via a low voltage power suply?

Power adapter for cameras

Why not bring all the power cables from each camera and use a 4/9 way 5amp 'Hub' Keeps it tidy and each power out has its on electronic Fuse -
Samsung SCC-B5399 switch from NTSC to PAL?
Neutech replied to NorwayCCTV's topic in Security Cameras
I doubt it I had this issue with a batch 50 B5368 domes which had landed in NTSC format no use to me in UK, all had to go back for replacment -
I have geo systems 12 years old and still running on original Drives etc Its about the quality of the components used when building them that is issue from what i see, i now get Geo based DVR coming in from other well know builders and they lst 2 / 3 years and the reason is the cheap nasty motherboards, ram and run of the mill HD they are sticking in them along with overclocking Standalone DVR i have JPEG2000 based NTIC units 9 years and still going strong, some have had HD replaced or PSU but sadly they lack features people now want..like squinting at a IPHONE screen

True but only if he wants audio personally i never use audio on a DVR You been at IFSEC today Tom?

is there a DSP card connected to the GV600? Disable DSP in the menu
-
Just to throw some confusion into the mixture and i have done this a number of times. You can run newer style leads from 1120/1240 on and GV800 if you put black into blue and blue into black the 8Ch Geo card you have will need the Blue lead kit from a newer Geo Card, these have a more moulded smaller top around the head unlike the ones in Toms Pic can you post a picture of the lead you have Cheers

Whats pictures like from DSP in daytime when its on? I'd guess your DSP card is knackered also get the PSU changed as thats where your lines are coming from

Neutech replied to dmiller9's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions

The enviroment the 400m of cable will be in..is it clean areas i.e. not industrial enviroment with loads mains and interference? I've run RG59 for 500m full drum and no issues, depends on the camera as well, we did another run 280m different site different camera and had to fit a gain amp inline to help My personal experience of CAT5 over long runs most is good but some have been nasty in industrial enviroment where the cable has even bein put well away from mains and machines etc Lighting use flood not IR if you want the best image Where you based?

Internal CCTV on a Budget - Blank Canvas
Neutech replied to noooodlez's topic in Computers/Networking
£1000 budget will get you maybe 2 PTZ cameras .... thats it Im not being funny but your budget is way way to small for what your trying to achieve If your serious speak to a professional supplier not what you see for sale on ebay or misco or dabs etc you need to decide IP or analogue? your exsisting network wont do the job, you may be able to use some of the cat5 and fit baluns for analogue use but use a low voltage cable and a power hub to run the cameras not a good idea to run power and signal up a cat5 if possible Good luck with your project -
I believe we have met if im not mistaken ....... Beard?Glasses? ......if so i was doing the CCTV you were doing the EPOS on the site
