Installing a long distance CCTV camera
Neutech replied to ogie delos reyes's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
way too far for Cat5 Is it line of site from camera to House? Use a long range wireless tranmitter at camera and reciever at house end Power as close to camera as possible If not line of site then Co-ax but you will need a inline amp midway -
Thats not a hybrid nor NVR so cant run IP cams on it HDSD again wont run on it the 1080P is live view only As Tom says try another cable, piece cat5 and baluns Also you said the picture started out ok, have you cleaned the camera since installation? has it got IR on it? could be spider webs on it etc

Neutech replied to Numb-nuts's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
PSG have been putting UTP in their EXT domes for a couple years so have QVIS As you say trying to hide connections has always been an issue with all in one eyeballs but i havent used them in 5 years+ as i personally detest them, everyone uses the same case but its whats inside that counts -
Contact Vodafone, 3, o2 etc and ask them to check the coverage at that area, pick one that works and buy a Dongle, take it up to the pens with a laptop and check what speed is like and if there is a 3G service, once you have done that and are happy then have a look at an ip camera and connect to a suitable router that can take usb dongle or if you wanted to cover 2 / 3 / 4 pens then buy a cheap 4CH DVR and hook up 4 cameras to it but no Hard Drive is needed so your using it like a web server.
-
You need the molex connected to power
-
Ok first thing is check 3G network coverage at the location and see which if any offer full 3G coverage Can you see your Farm from your house even if its miles away?is it line of sight? Have you Broadband in your house?
-
Do you have Broadband at your farm house? How far is farm house from Shed/Pens? Where are you located? There are solutions out there Tel but until we see where you live etc its kinda hard to provide solutions Bud
-

If you go into the Camera/Audio selection drop down box and untick those new cameras you added does this stil happen? Have you a camera ticked thats not active? -
First thing i would do is take the video feed direct from the camera into a composite input in TV so your working with direct feed Second you mention this PTZ has IR onboard and the issue appears at night? How far is the PSU located from the camera? What have you used to take a feed from PTZ to location and how far is the run? Have you measured the voltage for drop at the PTZ? To me it looks like power issue, is there a heater in the unit? Daytime is fine as no IR are active so less current

Rolling squiggly lines in display - see video - suggestions?
Neutech replied to d0n's topic in General Digital Discussion
Where did you power the camera from? If you ran it from where the TV is located then check what voltage is left at camera end and try powering as close to camera as possible. Have you tried a patch lead connected to the camera and test beside it? -

is it possible to let the tv auto switch to chan when alert
Neutech replied to vincenttor's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
On the Scart socket of every TV there is a "switch" pin to turn to AV http://www.leadsdirect.co.uk/technical/scartwiring.html Thats the diagram so just a mater of hooking up to EXT PIR or a detector or using the relays on your I/O card but that would mean every movement it would switch the TV to AV -

need help connecting voltek cameras to dvr
Neutech replied to bobisgud's topic in General Digital Discussion
Honestly those are poor cameras, go and buy a pair of replacement proper cameras If you wanted to hook them up you need to open scart and check against a scart diagram to find video signal and connect power to them as well......but really not worth doing theyre CMOS and poor quality -
