  1. I had someone tell me that no IP camera that is affordable has the same IR capability as the analog cameras. I am looking at Dahua for example. Do they have a bullet camera that rivals this?
  2. The ultimate ip camera guide says that the geovision recording software is free. Does anyone have a link to the free software? Do I need a paid for license for a geovision ip camera to use the camera with the free software? I am thinking of moving away from capture cards to megapixel ip cameras and I am looking at geovision.
  3. Anyone an expert with Synology software and megapixel cameras?
  4. I have a 4 port Alnet card that I bought a few years ago. Recently I got an AT&T Tilt which runs Windows Mobile 6. Every time I try to use the software and connect to my DVR, i get the video from the camera then immediately I get the "connection broken" message. I can connect with their demo sites listed when the software is loaded. Is there something wrong with the compatibility of this version of software with older cards?

    GV-800 Supported Software

I see they sell GV-800 DVR cards on Ebay with 8.0 sofware. Do those cards support all upgrades such as 8.1? I have an Alnet card now and it only supports the software shipped with it.
  6. Yeah anyone that purchases Alnet is stupid. They may have the best system in the world, I am not saying they do, but if there is no support, then being the best is not good enough. There are plenty of examples of the best never gaining market acceptance because of stupid business owners. I would have to say that Alnet owners must be slowly going out of business or they have a huge government contract or do this as a sideline.
