first of all, use compatibility view in IE. and I think that the best firmware is V4.0[20150808]

correct. Maybe teamviewer?

are you using TCP or UDP for communication between camera and nvr? can you provide an access to camera? it's strange if i12 doesnt work...
-
camera is connected via onvif yes, I have ticked the record channel. As I said, the main problem is that the motion detection mask disappears the next time I go to the motion detection settings even though I save it. solution #1) try connect camer via i12 protocol solution #2) set motion detection area on camera (not using mini nvr)

I have the same problem and I just wanted to post the same question I have this camera: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Full-HD-POE-Module-Inside-IP-Camera-Outdoor-Waterproof-1080P-2MP-Bullet-IP-Camera-6mm-Lens/32374876634.html Motion detection works on the camera itself, but on the NVR it doesn't work exactly as yoengkiong explained. I set the zone, save, and when I go back, the zone is gone. I have the firmware 20150808. Is there any chance to get it working? Thanks. camera is connected via onvif or i12 protocol? did you tick record channel number?

Hi, can someone suggest CMS that work with mini nvr? thanks
-
for checking onvif compatibility use onvif device manager http://sourceforge.net/projects/onvifdm/ ps be aware... If you disable cloud option, the mini nvr still trying to reach the server.
-
motion detection works well you only need to "install" i12 protocol

I use cheap chinese cameras with my 8ch mini nvr, and works pretty well... http://www.ebay.com/itm/CCTV-720P-1-0MP-Day-Night-Vision-IP-Network-Security-Bullet-Mini-Camera-Outdoor-/161488720453?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25997a5245 only problem was restarting mini nvr from unknown reason... for example ... 2 2015-04-06 14:23:36 Exception Video Lost 1 3 2015-04-06 14:23:36 Operation Power On 1 4 2015-04-06 14:23:36 Operation Abnormal Shutdown 1 5 2015-04-06 14:23:36 Operation Remote Login 1 127.0.0.1 6 2015-04-06 14:22:47 Alarm Motion Detection Begin 2 7 2015-04-06 14:22:42 Alarm Motion Detection End 2 8 2015-04-06 14:21:56 Alarm Motion Detection Begin 2 9 2015-04-06 14:21:46 Alarm Motion Detection End 2 10 2015-04-06 14:21:34 Alarm Motion Detection Begin 2 11 2015-04-06 14:21:21 Alarm Motion Detection End 2 ... " Maybe it's problem in power supply? I use external hdd connected to NVRs usb port.

Trust me, you want to turn off If you don't need to remote access, block all non-local network traffic...
