You will need to find a computer expert for help. It may be a permissions issue. Are you using the main computer account, or have you made another account that you are using? Are you using Windows 7?

KPD 616 with no image on monitor output
scorpion replied to valinskaya's topic in Digital Video Recorders
There are no schematics available for any AVTech DVR. Do you have a rework station and can you remove these chips on your own. If yes then you can look up the chip numbers and see which ones are for video. I have studied an old IDE 4 channel DVR from several years ago, but the economy does not allow me the free time to study other DVRs. Here is the chip for that particular DVR. U22 HEF4051B Main Monitor 8 Channel Analog Multiplexer/Demultiplexer The HEF4051B is an 8-channel analog multiplexer/demultiplexer with three address inputs (A0 to A2), an active LOW enable input (E), eight independent inputs/outputs (Y0 to Y7) and a common input/output (Z). U16 is the same chip for the call monitor -
How does one get tech support fromActive WebCam from Pysoft?
scorpion posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I have a client that is using Active Webcam and they cannot get tech support to email them back, and there appears to be no phone number. What would be a "good" replacement product that would be intuitive compared to Active Webcam (AW)? I want to pull them away from AW. Why do don't people buy IP cameras that come with software such as mobotix, and others? What do you think? -

Avtech AVC770 digital video recorder
scorpion replied to andrewluke's topic in Digital Video Recorders
770 Manual http://scorpiontheater.tech.officelive. ... 0_V1.0.pdf The 770 does not have motion detection recording. You can add motion detectors to the DVR. There are 4 "alarm" inputs. This would work great on indoor projects, but motion detection would not work outdoors. Pin 3 is alarm input 1. When you short this to ground (pin 9) it will trigger the buzzer alarm, and it will record. There is an alarm out. There are two choices. A normally closed, and a normally open. When the DVR is triggered it will take the normally closed and create an open circuit, or a high signal. The normally open circuit will become a closed switched, or a low signal. For outdoors I recommend beam detectors. You can also put alarm system contacts on doors and wire these in to the DVR. When the door is open it can trigger recording. You will need a relay to take the open door circuit signal and have the relay close the circuit, or to create a low signal on the alarm input on the DVR. X10 products can be used to create circuits. X10 motion can trigger lighting to turn on to make sure the camera can see the viewing area while recording. With X10 you can create a circuit that triggers an auto dialer that has your cellphone number. You can create a circuit on the DVR output that will cause a strobe to light when a door, or a motion is triggered. Nightclubs may want to prevent customers from sneaking in through "firedoors" and to avoid paying entry fees, or because they are under age. If security sees a strobe light going off then they can head to that door to evaluate the situation, or to intercept a person sneaking in. If several doors are close by then you can loop them all in to one circuit so that one strobe covers a set of doors. You can use several different colors on the strobes to identify different doors. Strobes are used on doors because most clubs have loud music, and it is hard for one security to yell to another about a sneaker coming through a door. The strobe allows mutliples of security to converge on the culprit. Pressure pad mats can be used to trigger recordings also. -

help with AVTech AVC 792 noise / will not start
scorpion replied to adeinov's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Too hard to say without actually looking at the DVR. I will guess that your external power supply is bad. Do you know someone that has a laptop that bought one of the universal power supplys? They have multi tips to select from. If not then take it to a computer repair shop, and ask them what it would cost to hook up their laptop universal test power supply to see if you DVR will work. What voltage is your DVR? 19 Volts? -

avtech, combine 2 remote dvr into 1 monitor
scorpion replied to damai7788's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Yes. You can put both IP addresses in to Video Viewer and then click on one to connect, and then click on the other to connect. You can watch both DVRs using page 1, or page 2, or you can watch both on the same page. -

IVS = Intelligent Video Surveillance http://www.avtech.com.tw/eagleeyes/ IVS DVR provides much more extensive field applications than any surveillance products on the market. The IVS DVR not only records and plays back as traditional DVRs, but also allows utilizations in business functions when connected with IVS cameras. People counting feature, for example, would give you a very clear understanding of the number of customers coming in and out of your store at any given time without ever stopping by at the store yourself. http://www.avtech.com.tw/eagleeyes/en/product_3.htm Push Notification (when used with AVM602V) DCCS Technology Touch Control People Counting Synchronized Video and Audio Smooth Network Transmission High Quality Images

username password doesnt works in browser
scorpion replied to ali_ki007's topic in General Digital Discussion
There are too many variables to work with for troubleshooting. This is going to require an onsite tech to troubleshoot your issues. I will make a wild guess and assume that you have not gone to tools > internet options, security tab, > change unsigned active x to "prompt". This is the most common problem with signing in with DVRs. You will have to close all browsers, and then open another one to log in. In some cases you may have to delete temp internet files. Did you get the yellow bar at the top, and did you load, and run the active x?? If no then the unsigned active x may be the issue. If yes then you have other problems requiring an onsite tech to troubleshoot. -
AVTECH AVR785 Disk Error when Backing Up
scorpion replied to thecalmdoc's topic in Digital Video Recorders
I do not know if you have CD, or DVD burner. I would need to know this first of all. You can go to a computer store with the DVR and have them match up the burner with a new one. You can pay them a fee to use one of their test CD/DVD to rule out the burner itself as being the problem. -

avc760z oftenly cannot connect via internet
scorpion replied to jiongpao's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Can you contact your ISP and have them put a "recorder" on your internet connection? They can record it and see if you are dropping connections. If the ISP is dropping connections then the DVR is not at fault. It may be a router issue. You may have to replace the router with a friends router and test to see if you are still dropping your connection. What do you think? -
