What are you talking about? Looks fine to me! LOL!

I am sorry that was version 1.0. We have recently received version 5.0 Why would you want such top heavy software slowing down your computer? The 5.0 version is much clear then what you were showing in the video link. Also there are new tools in the 5.0 release that make the one in the link appear like stone age technology! LOL!

AVC760 is it possible to use SATA to IDE adapter ???
scorpion replied to valerius's topic in Digital Video Recorders
I can still get IDE drives but they are more expensive compared to SATA. I have never tried the converter, but others have on different DVRS. I would say give it a try if you have the experience, and the knowledge! -
Lock, and load another magazine, in my trusty M16! See that 60 above the keel? Listen to that mother squeal! Because all I want to see are bloody pirate bodies! Blow another claymore mine across the railing line! Throw another hand grenade, and look and see what mess I made! Stab him with your bayonet! If he moves he's not dead yet! Because all I want to see are bloody pirate bodies!

What is video loop out and how does it work?
scorpion replied to sexydadee's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Think of a restaurant such as Chilis, Carraba's, Applebee's ect. I can run a camera feed from the "carside parking" to a DVR. This is the area where you call ahead to make an order, and you park, and they bring the food out to you. I have a monitor in carside employee area that needs a video feed. I do not want to use the DVR monitor output as this would give me a multi channel feed of all of the cameras. I can use the carside camera "loop out" on the back of the DVR so that the monitor shows the carside parking area only on this monitor. Some people would take the camera feed, and connect it to the monitor which is a short run, and use the monitors loop out to take this feed back to the DVR. I choose not to go this route as someone might disconnect the camera feed from the monitor on purpose, or accident, or they might disconnect the loop out feed by accident. I want the camera to be recorded then I want to send the video back to the monitor. Some people may laugh as I have to run two coax instead of one. It does not cost anymore in labor to run two coaxes verses one coax. So labor arguments do not work. You could do anything that you want with a loopout. I can take a camera loopout, and connect it to an encoder, and get one camera on the internet, and embed this video into a website. For a large night club I have 16 cameras that go back to a DVR in a main office of the owner. I then have 8 wires from the loop outs going back to a "managers" office. These 8 feeds are then plugged in to a 8 channel multiplexor. The manager can watch whatever camera he wants, and the owner can watch what ever camera he wants. The owner sees 16 cameras, and the manager only see 8. The owner does not want the manager, and the employees to know that there are more cameras. -
This would tell me that the Jacket of the power wire has been pierced? Is this correct? In other words the power lead ground goes through the staple, and in to the metal stud?

I am willing to bet that you have power at the camera, but the video is the problem. Take a small TV that has the yellow video input on it, and set it up on your ladder, and plug in the camera. If you see video then the voltage side is ok. You might have the wires reversed? If you put pigtails on the end of the wire for the camera then the pigtail may not match the camera power lead just right. I have seen this but it is very rare. It could be just the one individual style, or just the one connector only.

Have you tried Eagle Eye (old version) on your phone? http://211.22.74.18/

It may be two "pads" that you may have to short together. The other question is: Which two pads! Hey! Try the Black wire, and the Red wire!! (This is an inside electronics tech joke for those of you that came to this post from a search engine! This will blow the power supply sending smoke, sparks, fire, flames, shrapnal, and the occasional atomic cloud over the test bench so do not do this at home! You will be pulling electolytic capacitor debris from your eyes for the next year assuming you still have your eye site)!

LOL! That describes CCTV perfectly! I also had a flash back from my childhood when my dad would reorient the TV antenna! -
It may depend on what kind of DVR you have. If you Ipaq can go to a url then I would assume it could see cctv from the DVR.

I am guessing that it is a 4 channel DVR? I have seen DVRs that appear similiar based on the shape of the buttons, but I am not familiar with that DVR. I wish I could be of more help! I went through a couple of vendor's list on line, and I did not see that model. I saw this one http://www.supercircuits.com/Digital-Video-Recorders/4-Channel-DVRs/DMR27U I do not know if they are kissing cousins, or not? It might help you track down the manufacture. Is there a production date on the PC board? Perhaps it may be some vendors catalog from a couple of years ago?

DVR- Internet access - old story, old problems but still....

Your IP address is not listed here but there are some only a few numbers away from your address. I think you are stuck in the middle. http://www.projecthoneypot.org/search_ip.php -

Thank you for sending me your IP address in the PM. This IP address will not work on the internet. Your IP address is close to an IP range that has been blocked on the internet by most ISPs. I thinks this is where you are having problems. I do not know if your ISP is just an innocent victim, and their range has been banned by accident. -

This confuses me. I read the bottom sentence in a way that makes me believe that you are at work, and you can see video. I think you are bouncing me in two places at the same time. -

You need to go somewhere else, and try to remote log in. The reason that I want you to do this is to rule out something blocking you at work. If it works else where then your router is configured correctly, and your problems are work related. If it does not work, then your router setup needs to be looked at. _____________________________________________________________ I would forget about every number that you have on file "that works at home". Just because a number works at your house does not mean it works outside. You have confirmed this as you did a ping test, and the ping failed. _____________________________________________________________ Have you contacted your ISP? Have you verified that you do in fact have a Static IP Address? _____________________________________________________________ If you do not have a static ip then the address that the IPCHICKEN gave you is the IP address that you need to use. It is pingable, and this may mean that the router needs to be looked at. -
Your DVR is an AVTech DVR model number AVC 777. If it has an internet connection then it would be the AVC 777W. I am surprised that you did not see your DVR on this page: http://scorpiontheater.com/cpcamtechsupport.aspx When this DVR first came out it did in fact use Video Server S. AVTech came out with a model of DVRs at the time, and the newer DVRs used Video Server E. AT that very moment in time they changed some of the chips on the board, and then updated the AVC 777, and the AVC776 to use Video Server E. It was kind of confusing at the time for some dealers as you might get some of the stock that they were trying to deplete of the Video Server S models, or you might get a Video Server E model. If your DVR does in fact use Video Server E, then you might be able to use Video Viewer. http://scorpiontheater.com/videoviewer.aspx I am surprised that Steve's AP did not work with your DVR if it does use Video Server E. Then again it may not surprise me as it may have a different chip set on the PC board compared to the AVC 760 style boards. If you can use Video Server E then it should take Steve's AP. I just do not know why it would not. I would not worry about the 9CH DMR(AVC 776) as the two DVRs are kissing cousins. They are identical machines except for 9 verses 16 channels. Everything else is exactly the same. Same menu, same functions, ect. Now you are up to date! What do you think?

finding reliable, knowledgable dealers/install in Orlando FL
scorpion replied to aleicgrant's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
I have never heard of it, and I have never seen it in the news, but it would not surprise me to hear that an A/C installer, Cable Guy, Telephone Guy, Alarm Installer, or CCTV installer has passed out in an attic, and the fire dept had to smash the dry wall to get someone out! I am glad I have fast, strong drill, and quality fishing rods. Get in, get out, quit messing about!
