Thank you for the kind words for my wife during her injury.

She is doing great! She now has a scab about the size of a nickel on top of her hand. All we need now is a 2X2, and a one strip of tape. Thanks! -

What were your results? The AVC 760A does not transmit audio over the internet for remote viewing. -
Are the cheap IR illuminator from Amazon worth anything?
scorpion replied to Gesualdo's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hey Rory! How are you doing? I know you have been around, but I have not been on the same post with you in a long time! I have been so busy that I only look in on the DVR threads. How are things going with you? Hey sawbones! In your daylight photograph I see that you have many trees in the yard. I will assume that you have a large "canopy" over the area. Would you be kind enough to point one of the stronger "spotlight" illuminator on in to the canopy? I am thinking that the canopy will diffuse the spot, and bounce the IR back down. I believe this would actually benefit the video shot. On a second shot I would have you point the spot upwards, and then take one of the "weaker" IR illuminators, and point as you allready have, and then with the two I think you would have a "perfect" IR illuminated video shot. Would you be kind enough to post those pictures? Also: Another reason that I like your photos is that I try to teach my customers that it is just like a photographer setting up for a photo shoot. They always have those "silver umbrellas", and they bounce their flash off of these umbrellas, and then they hold a flash with one hand to the side away from the camera towards the subject. In your pictures I can see the hotspot from the brightest illuminator, and I can see the fade of the weaker illuminator, and I also can see the the illumination is not even throught out the illumination area. You can see a "cold spot" with in the area of illumination on the ground. It reminds me of cheap flashlights when you point them at a wall, and you see the direct light from the bulb is weak, but the light bouncing from the mirror behind the bulb has a stronger illumination, or the bulb size creates a shadow within the illuminated area. What do you think? -

Does your Lorex camera receiver have a yellow video out connector? You can plug this in to a VCR, and then plug the video out of the VCR to your television to view. You can also plug it in to a DVR.

There is a series of steps we need to do before we get remote video. Question one: Do you have local video where the DVR, and a computer is on the same LAN? What kind of router do you have? Have you read this PDF? http://scorpiontheater.com/Documents/AVTech_Guide_Networking_AVC7XX_Linksys_Info_2A_Line2.pdf

Has anyone used the audio function of the AVC 760A?
scorpion replied to scorpion's topic in Digital Video Recorders
I am familiar with the setup with the 760. Thank you for the feedback. _____________________________________________________________ In regards with the A version that uses Video Viewer: I was unable to listen to audio on the DVR audio output to include both live, and recorded. Trying to press those tiny buttons are no fun either! I do have audio going in to the DVR, and that was verified. The A version DVR does not transmit audio over the internet to include both live, or recorded audio. It appears that all of the A version DVRs are like this. I just wanted to see if anyone was able to hear live audio with their DVRs. Thanks, -

Too late!! I was going to let you all stay in my friends beach front house for free! Didn't you want to stick your toes in the sand, and plop down in a chair right on the beach, and pop and cold beer with only walking out your door a few feet? You have to see the ladies running around here in their bikinies! OH WELL! You missed out! Too bad!

Well, thank you RickA! I think? Hey! Watcha tryin to say? Her arm is healed up pretty good now. She has a small wound on the top of her hand about the size of a quarter. From elbow to wrist it looks very good. There is some very mild scarring, but over time I think most will disappear. It is time for me to go on strike as the house husband ! -

I do not have an example, but I am sure you might find a Fluke Tester that will give you something that you need, and then it probably will have a way to down load the info in to a computer. You could print it out from there, or do a screen shot. http://us.fluke.com/usen/home/default.htm Is he is willing to spend some serious money? You could aslo use a TDR. Sounds like he is creating line base for testing knowing that the specs can not keep up, and this will give him an out for not paying a bill. What is his reason for tracking the status of the wiring?

When it comes to pain Iam a big sissy. I would have been popping pain killers from sun rise to sun set!! My wife's tolerence is unbelievable! The biggest problem that I saw with the prescriptions is that the pain killers would only last about 5 days. This means that we would have to have another doctors visit, and another $150.00 just to get pain medicine. I do not know why they could not give her a prescription that was auto refill. In these days, and times I understand why due to pill abuse ect. It was not till later that I realized that my wife was not taking the pain relievers so that she would have them longer. She would not take them during the day as she would only take them at night so that she could sleep. What really pissed me off was that we needed a prescription for Silverdyne. This is not a narcotic, or anything. A tube would last about two days, and then we would have to see the doctor again to get another prescription. This should have been an auto refill. I am not going to pay $150 bucks just so I can buy a $15.00 tube of silverdyne. We are self insured so that is no fun. I at least get the satisfaction that I am makeing a Porshe payment. It is not mine, but at least I can say I pay for one!! LOL! Maybe I am putting the doctors kids through college too!! Great! I am going in the hole, and my doctor is probably paying for a headlight upgrade for his mistress if you know what I mean! LOL! My wife is doing great! How can I tell? I get to slack off on doing laundry, dishes, cooking, and picking up the kids toys off the floor! Yay! I am glad things are finally getting back to normal!! Thanks for the thought! We appreciate it! -
You have failed your typing class! I am sorry to report this to the dean. You will have to wait till next semester to continue this course. There will be no refunds on tuition. You can however sell your book back to the bookstore as a used book. The assignment was: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. This was to be repeated 100 times.

How to connect Louroe Verifact E to my DVR ?
scorpion replied to Sinkie's topic in General Digital Discussion
http://www.louroe.com/kits.asp?model=ask4kit101 You need the base station to go with the microphone. The base station has a speaker so that you can listen in locally, and there are RCA outputs on the base station that plug in to the DVR. If the base station is far away then use RG59 copper center to feed audio to the DVR. You can use BNC to RCA adapters. -
Now I can see clearly! Thanks! I wish we could put the new firmware in to an older model DVR, and bring it up to date.

AvTech 785 DVR change simultaneously the image
scorpion replied to ngzolee's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
I would use the loop out of the camera video, and then run the wires to a multiplexor. The guard will see the video of the multiplexor, and he will only see the camera views, and not the DVR video. If the guard is using a computer to remote view then you can take the video out from the multiplexor, and attach it to a webserver that will put the video on the internet. http://www.cpcamcctv.ca/ProductSpecs/102.pdf
