Can't get through a Netopia to a T.O.M. system.
scorpion replied to MrRaster's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
The good news is that the system is working locally. Are you able to ping from the outside? If you have this then it should work. _____________________________________________________________ Expert Mode Configure Advanced Name Name of DVR Protocal TCP Port Start 9012 Port End 9014 Internal IP Address router IP or your static ip address Internal port . _____________________________________________________________ If you were using port 80 then I would say do this, but you are not using port 80. Expert mode Configure Advanced Internal Server Web (http) Server Port 80 Change this to 0 Telnet sever port 23 This is fine _____________________________________________________________ I would drop the UDP. _____________________________________________________________ I USE BELL SOUTH / ATT AS MY SERVICE PROVIDER: http://www.dslreports.com/faq/bellsouth CAYMAN / NETOPIA INFO http://www.dslreports.com/faq/bellsouth/3.12_Cayman_Netopia_Info NETOPIA SCREEN SHOTS http://www.dslreports.com/faq/bellsouth/3.12_Cayman_Netopia_Info#14024 NETOPIA 3346 MANUAL http://www.fastaccess.drivers.bellsouth.net/documents/ITguide_Cayman_3346.pdf MOTOROLA INFO ON NETOPIA ( www.netopia.com ) http://www.netopia.com/equipment/products/internet_access.html NETOPIA 3300 SERIES DATA SHEET http://www.netopia.com/equipment/products/3000/3300_res_ds.pdf ATT ONLINE TECH SUPPORT www.support.att.net ATT ONLINE TECH SUPPORT NETOPIA http://www.support.att.net/bellsouth/asp/contentview.asp?ys_audience=uv&ys_service=nhsi&1=1&sprt_cid=5ad08ec4-d51b-43ef-9e2d-76704b883878&isbrowse=true&portalProvider=ATT&UserType=DSL -

How many DVRs do you have? Do you have a lot of business locations?

Nice cam! Also: You should switch your avatar from the "Invisible Man" to the picture of the album Black out, where the man's face is covered in bandages but has forks stuck in his eyes, and and they are bent back! I do not know why I am so infatuated with the name of this band!!!! COOL AVATAR! LOL!

I do not know what kind of environment you have, but maybe you can take my environment, and see if this works for you. I use these in alot of Bars / Night Clubs, and other dark environments. They work pretty good as long as there is some low light such as rope lights, neon beer signs. Black lights light up the camera area pretty well! I do use these as "main" camera as I use them for the pool tabel area, dart board area, and seating area, and I use other cameras for the front door, office, ATM machine and the cash register. Will this work in your environment? http://eclipsecctv.com/ECL-374.html

I wondering if you have manual record enabled? Menu Record Manual Record enable (should be off).

Before the AVTech models that they have out today I really liked the DVR 4005NXX (XX = Harddrive size). I was looking forward to adding a "new" model number to the site! Oh well! Next time!

10 Commandments of Proper Cable Termination

I am not sure of your problem. I take it that only camera one is "activated" for motion detection and the other cameras are recording camera one on to channel 2, 3, and 4. Is this right? _____________________________________________________________ Are all of the cameras "activated" for motion detection? Are your cameras indoors, or outdoors? What does your playback look like when you walk in front of camera 1 then walk in front of camera 2 and walk in front of cameras 3, and 4? Camera 1 should have video of you walking in front of camera 1, and you will see video in cam 2,3,4 but this is not new video. If you are playing back a quad screen cams 2,3, and 4 will not be a blue blank screen. Test the other cams as it might be showing the last recorded of each camera. Are you saying that it is recording in a quad screen and you are recording video in front of the cameras with nothing going on? Do you have a small hard drive and this is filling up the hard drive with video? _____________________________________________________________ MENU ADVANCE DETECTION Now move the cursor to the third column marked AREA. On cam one press enter. If the page is pink then this is not seeing "motion", if it is clear than it is looking for motion to trigger recording. Try using masking (PINK) to block bushes, and trees that may be triggering recording. Please note that a cloud moving overhead will block the sunlight and will trigger motion detection. What do you think?

Well that rules out the newer AVC 760AS model. Hmmmmm!

I cannot find a link for the AVC 760M Could it be related to the AVC 760AS? http://www.avtech.com.tw/english/cctv_doc.aspx?ID=AVC760AS http://www.avtech.com.tw/english/cctv.aspx?Type=3&Type2=2 Or What version of Video Server E does it use? Video Sever E .0.0.8.5? (Nubix 4St / AVC 760AS Version) Can you PM me the link where you bought the DVR? _____________________________________________________________ I'm Trying! I'm Trying!

Avtech AV087 (CPD505) has solid light on LED4 board
scorpion replied to hotsalsa's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Did you keep a copy of the old Firmware? It may be that you can reload it. I doubt that you can revive the DVR after you have done a hard reset as this locks in the firmware that you installed, and there is no way to reload another firmware. Where did you get the firmware? _____________________________________________________________ http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=13991 -
NEW: AVC 760AS / NUBIX 4ST _____________________________________________________________ CLICK HERE FOR MANUAL http://scorpiontheater.com/nubix4st.aspx _____________________________________________________________ SPECS: http://www.avtech.com.tw/english/cctv_doc.aspx?ID=AVC760AS http://www.avtech.com.tw/image/product_pic/doc/AVC760AS.pdf MANUAL FOR NUBIX 4ST (CUT N PASTE INTO BROWSER) http://eclipsecctv.info/DVR Systems/NubixST/Manuals Software/Nub4ST_manual.pdf _____________________________________________________________ i just got my first one from CCTVoutlet / Eclipsecctv. I have a copy of the Video Server E .0.0.8.5 for the 760AS/Nubix4ST. This is the hard drive that it came with: http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=4f5f99f4fa74c010VgnVCM100000dd04090aRCRD&locale=en-US I looked at the PC Board and it had 761AM-V02A This is an MPEG 4 DVR only and no MJPEG is offered. What is different about this DVR is that it transmits over the internet using MPEG 4 unlike all of the other past models that transmit over the internet using MJPEG. I do not know if the the same 761AM board is shared between the 671, and the 760AS, and if the 760 has parts missing that take away the specs of the 761. The back of the Nubix 4ST does not match the Reg 4 channel rear panel as seen in Model numbers 1, 2, 3, or 4. The AS model 1 looks the same as the old model 3, but does not have the D/V port. It does have a fan unlike the Model 3. The main menu has an extra line: Quick Search (Date and Search HDD) Record Timer Date Advance 6.1 QUICK SEARCH In this menu list, you can search any specific events by time and directly play the file you find. Move the cursor to “QUICK SEARCHâ€

Those with the AVC 760A / 761A / Nubix 4ST (new releases) can use the AP to go to display, and there they have a drop down box for dwell. It appears ( I have not confirmed it yet) that you can set dwell and have it go to quad screen and then to the next full screen sequence and back to quad and so forth in sequence. Full Sequence Duration 3 sec Quad Sequence Duration 3 sec New Manual for AVC 760AS V0.9 Cut and Paste in to browser http://eclipsecctv.info/DVR Systems/NubixST/Manuals Software/Nub4ST_manual.pdf

With the Video Server are you saying that you could not press Menu then advance, then display then press left button, then the Up button to make changes? I do not know why that would not work?

I have been thinking about this post for a while, but then I have been away, and I have not had a chance to pursue it more. What I am wondering is if you have a 760A instead of a 760? http://www.avtech.com.tw/english/cctv_spec.aspx?ID=AVC760A If I understand you correctly you do not have the opportunity to record in MJPEG is this right?

View multiple DVR's at one network console

AVTech has a CMS software. I do not know where to get a copy of it though. Maybe someone would be kind enough to share a copy? -
http://scorpiontheater.com/cpcamtechsupport.aspx Scroll down to almost the bottom of the web page and you will see how to do a hardware reset for various AVTech DVRs. Why are you doing a hardware reset?? WARNING! If you are in the middle of a firmware upgrade, and you are having problems then DO NOT DO A HARDWARE RESET! The DVR will become an expensive door stop! What troubles are you having that you need to do a hardware reset? Let me know if your problem works out!
