Is there an 9 channel dvr that can have multiple ir sensors
scorpion replied to blake's topic in Digital Video Recorders
That will be $200 an hour please! Thank you very much! -
Does your PIR have a built in connection where you can attach wires? Does your PIR send out a motion activated signal via wireless? You will have to hack your present PIR if it does not. You can hook up a parallel pir to send you a signal. The receiver should have a built in relay to activate what ever you need. The device will have a built in chime, and you can use the relay to activate a strobe, or a phone dialer, or to activate a DVR camera channel ect. That should work. Putting them in the ceiling is great as it avoids the sunlight coming through the window, and creating havoc with stray ir. I hope the position in the ceiling is good to prevent ackward positioning of the hand with the remote when making changes. You could eliminate the ZC21, but I would not recommend it. You may want to try a pretrial before you install it to make sure it does what you want it to. I recommend devices that flash an led back at you to let you know that it received the "commands" from the hand held remote control. A great trouble shooting tool, as the batteries can go dead, or the emitter can fall of the DVR, or the DVR could lock up after an "electrical issue" such as lightning ect. Sounds like a fun project. -
IP cameras. This way each room has it's own IP address. Perhaps you may want to use a product such as Sonic Wall where parents would have to be given user names, and passwords just to get in to the schools system, and then an other password for each room. http://ipvideomarket.info/ http://sonicwall.com/ http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:*&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=axis+ip+camera&spell=1

Each room where you are going to have an "eye" to see your IR remote control can be treated as a "zone". You can conbine several "zones" to control one item such as your DVR. Depending on how you "design" the system you may want to use something like this http://xantech.com/InfraRed/InfraRed/LCDCFLProofIRRcv/48085/ Now you will need to combine several "eyes" to control your DVR. http://www.xantech.com/files/manuals/100_79520.pdf -
If you are a home owner doing a "one time job", then it is not to bad. I know what you mean! I can blow out one of their tools before I get done drilling 25 doors, and window for wiring.

I have switched from Light Tape to an LED based lighting. I tested a two foot strip prior to an installation, and so far I am much happier with it. It is much brighter than the light tape! The light tape is great for indoors, but it is a terrible pain for outdoor installation. Inserting the tape in to the plastic enclosure that provides the tape with protection from the elements is almost impossible!! For you dirt bikers, and motocrossers then you can relate to changing a tube from a bike. You fight with two screwdrivers, and when you have finally used enough cuss words then it finally slips in! I will keep you posted on how the LED lighting goes!

Lorex SG6080 Weatherproof Camera Questions
scorpion replied to frostydeeps's topic in Security Cameras
Don't forget to buy a lens, an enclosure, and a mounting bracket. At that price I would not expect much out of the box camera either. -
Harbor Freight is a .com which is a low cost tool center. They started here many years ago selling tools out of a tractor trailer at local hotels, and then they moved in to a strip plaza. The tools are great for home owners as they do not apply a lot of use to the tools. Commercial tool buyers will be quickly disapointed as the tools do not hold up in the professional world. They do have advantages as you can save $300 buying a hand held hammer jack for only $50.00! If you get a year out of it than you are lucky. You will soon be disapointed by the harbor freight cameras. They are great for daytime, but that is it.

You contact the site admin Here are some articles to read BUSINESS / MARKETING http://www.cctvforum.com/cms_articles.php?cid=5 There really isn't much going on in those "locked out" forums. Everything is pretty much out in the open areas. The only time the closed off section is used is if we are talking about wholesale pricing, or we have a vendor question. Do be to disapointed once you finally get access to the locked out areas.

I do not think that a hardware reset, or a firmware upgrade should ruin your warranty. Is this in the documentation from the "dealer/seller"?? These procedures are recommended by the manufacture!!!!! HDD testing could be an either or kind of thing depending on what you are doing. Basic kind of "reading" of the hard drive should not effect the warranty, and I will tell you why. If I take a HDD out of one player, and I go home, and I stick it into my machine to help a store clerk record some video for the police then would this ruin the warranty to the buyer from me??? Should this ruin the warranty from my business to my distributer who sales wholesale to me?? Like I said, It depends on what you were doing. If you are an electronic hacker, or like to take things apart then you already know of the warranty limitations, and "curiosity of the cat" prevails over a warranty. I pay an attorney $50.00 to have a secretary type of a letter that I give them, and they add the "legalese" to it. It is amazing the reaction that I get when "someone" receives a letter from "me" via my attorney. Perhaps you can have an attorney draft a letter, and send it to your seller! I think someone is trying to get out of providing tech support! Then again if you bought on the dirt cheap then you can expect lousey tech support. What do you think?

No I do not have a show room at this time. I dissolved a venture with an individual, and they retain the showroom. I have a couple of storefronts ready to go, but the present economy is not helping. I do site surveys in the south Brevard County areas.

If your budget is only $30.00 for a camera, then what is there to complain about?
