Digital Sprite2 DVD Archive info needed
scorpion replied to HalOfBorg's topic in Digital Video Recorders
I would hook up a laptop to the DVR using a cross over cable, and make the settings needed to view the DVR. Bring up the viewer on your laptop, and right click on the camera that you are viewing, and select save AVI. This can be done with recorded history as well. Let me know if this works! -
If you have not made any changes to the computer, then I am completely lost on this one. I would say go to my computer, and go to C drive, and follow the path to get the where the file is, and then see if this matches what is in your DVR. Is it possible that an security program has "rearranged" the files to prevent a malicious attack, and the DVR just cannot find the travel path? Perhaps you may need to reload the server disk to fix a missing file? Are you using server S, or server E?

scorpion replied to securitysys's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
The price is a chip price, not a camera price. Once the chip is sold then a manufacture (assembly) will "produce" the camera, market it, package it, and distribute it. This would be like someone coming up with a $50.00 V8 engine. Now you sell it to Ford, Cheverolet, BMW, Chrysler ect. This is a "consortium" of chip manufactures who are integrating the "best of breed" in to one chip. You have the CCD chip manufacture (Aptina 5 megapixal camera. It wll have a software processing loss, and it will be rated a 3MP cam), you have the processor chip manufacture (Texas Inst Davinci Processor), and Apro (DM355 HD IP Camera). APRO provides the DM355 HD IP Camera. They provide the licensing agreements, production agreements, data sheets, software, debug board for developers, code composer studio, ect. All you need to do is decide if it is going in to your box product, your dome product, or a PTZ product. http://www.alarmking.com/9000series/UsersManual.pdf Ports 25 Email 80 Web Server 8015 Internet phone 9091 DVR Server 9100 Central Station Used with muliple DVRS and static IPs Is this what you have? Am I missing any? Set your video quality to the lowest setting. Has NETWORKED been checked on USER SETTINGS? Have you set yourself up a password?

I am not familiar with that DVR, and I am not an internet expert. You can remove the port forwarding, and then put the DVR in to DMZ. This will open all ports. If you have a working video then we can work out what ports need to be opened. You will also have to go somewhere else to test your DVR from the internet. It is possible that you cannot access yourself from you LAN to the internet, and back. Try a friends connection, or go to a library ect. If it still does not work then you may have to enable virtual server perhaps. What kind of router do you have?

Yes, and No! _____________________________________________________________ For others who are reading this post, then I will mention this: This means that we have the technology to do cheap megapixal IP cameras. Now we have to over come processor speed, and storage capacity. If you follow computers you will see how processor speed stayed the same, and storage prices came down, or capacity increased. Then came a time when processor prices came down, or speed/capacity increased. It became that processor upgrades were cheaper than storage capacity upgrades. Pent 1, 2, 3 4, ect. Cheap megapixal cameras are now a reality, but storage, and internet bandwith is the next hurdle to accomplish! Who is using IP cameras on a Giga Bit Lan? -
The manual on page 3 does state Web Transmitting Compression Format: Motion JPEG. KIWI wins the prize! _____________________________________________________________ This is for model 3, and 4. Models 1, and 2 are: MPEG4 for FRAME, and MPEG4 for CIF! _____________________________________________________________ The AVTech AVC 760, CPCam 560, and the Nubix 4BC is a model 3. This is the only one that cannot be backed up with a USB, it has to be backed up by the remote software. Model 3 does not have the USB feature. Models 1,2, 4, and 5 do. http://211.75.84.102/web/manu/760.pdf AVC 761, and the CPD 561 is a model 4 MJPEG at frame, MPEG4 at CIF, 1 audio in, with IR. http://211.75.84.102/web/manu/761.pdf AVC 781, and CPD 501 is a model 2 MPEG4 at frame, MPEG4 at CIF, 2 audio in, no IR. http://211.75.84.102/web/manu/781.pdf AVC 782A, and CPD 502 is a model 1 MPEG4 at frame. Model 1 is the only one with the CD back up, and it has 2 audio inputs. Model 5 does not have the power/data bus, but it has 2 audio inputs, CD back up, and it has IR. http://211.75.84.102/web/manu/782.pdf A/V Support: Support 2 audio-in, 1 audio-out to record sounds (Model 1 and Model 2) Support 1 audio-in, 1 audio-out to record sounds (Model 3 and Model 4) Support VGA output to monitor (optional) _____________________________________________________________ OK! Now my head is hurting trying to figure this all out!

What would it cost a municipality in wages if a city wide bus system provided video of muggings, rapes, murder, or if they wanted footage to prove that someone was in an area of a crime? With as many crimes that can be committed in an area, then how much footage could be generated? Do most bus systems down load the video by hand at each individual bus? How many bus systems download video as soon as they pull in to the yard via wireless?

I was thinking "that's news to me"! Interesting if it did!

Looking for H.264 DVR, any suggestion
scorpion replied to cctvsentry's topic in Digital Video Recorders
This may, or may not suit your needs, but I would have you look at ICRealtime. http://icrealtime.com/solutions/index.asp I would recommend the Flex Series with the R30 upgrade. What do you think? -
I do not have any part numbers. I kind of go with the flow of what ever I can find. I did a quick google, and I found this site that has a picture of the product that I pull from the chassis from the yard. http://www.opto22.com/site/pr_cat_sc.aspx?qs=100610161053

I agree with Kiwi about that solid state relay. I am in luck because all of the major corporations have to send the left over products to company that recycles the componets! This company also goes to all of the auctions, and buys computers, parts, and accessories! This is a huge warehouse, and I feel like a kid in a candy store! Perhaps you have an electronic "playland" of your own in your area?

If your system is a Color Dual Quad Network Observation System SSC14WEB then you are in luck! http://www.samsung-security.com/Portals/0/UserManuals/SSC-14WEB.pdf RJ 12 PINOUT 1 SPEAKER (+) 2 VIDEO_OUT 3 GND 4 SPEAKER (-) 5 AUDIO_OUT/ALARM_OUT 6 12V DC Back of Camera Clip up, contacts down 123456 I hope the info above helps you. The camera does not hook up to a computer!

Other than the ring problem, it also sounds like it is not throwing enough IR to where you need it. What is it a 30 foot IR bullet? How far is the area that you are watching from the camera, and how high is the camera mounted?

Have you tried your local TV repair shop?? They should be able to figure out the parts for your power supply. Ask around, and see who repairs computer monitors? -

Edison only slept what? 4 hours a day? That leaves 20 hours of research, and eating!! -
If you want to do it on a budget then use window tinting that has the mirror effect, and put it on regular glass. The side that has the light will have the mirror. If you put this on a plate glass window on your house then at night when you look out you will see a mirror, but the people outside can see into your house just fine! During the day this is the opposite. You look at the house, and the window looks like a mirror, but you can see out just fine! Make sure the camera side of the glass is in the dark. If this is in the light, and you still have to have the mirror then you need to contact a glass shop in your area.
