First of all, thanks for reading this and hopefully be able to put your 2 cents into this.
My DVR went kaputz recently and now shopping for a new shiny one
So I hope any of you can advise a cheap/reasonable DVR for home and here's my check list.
- 4 or 8 channel (preferrably 8 )
- can be accessed externally just with a simple of port forwarding (i've come across one that you need to register to cloud and on your mobile, you need a special app that you need to register and sign in to their cloud to access your cameras.....NIGHTMARE!)
- ability to add IP camera (a nice to have)
- ability to manage remotely( via browser to manage network, users, etc. Not just to view cameras)
- cheapest possible just purely cuz I'm cheap
