Hi all I know this is a very old machine but was a bargain. Basically I think iv bricked it trying to upgrade to ver. 4 after the upgrade procedures didn't work I decided to follow the upgrade hard drive forums on here using fat 32 format etc and so on but I'm not getting any where now. I turn the machine on and it just goes straight to intiasiling bootloader halted in bootloader. no other screens at all.

Hi I'm trying to update to ver 4 but I'm struggling to get past the first step which is the Ftp part. I type in the dvrs Ip address and click download it then says cyntex problems error or something like that. Any ideas guys ?

Right guys thanks for all your help iv managed to suss the ptz problem was just a case of selecting pelco-p in the menus and placing to 2 pins into the green block Next question Is there an easy way to upgrade to version 4.0 (86) without using a crossover cable because I haven't a clue what that is. Im currently on 3.1 (165) - Net (DVTX)

Hi guys I don't know much about these systems iv just switched from a very basic cheap dvr which was very easy when it came to attaching a Ptz camera basically the two pins plugged into the green rs485 port on the back and that was it all gogo. Now iv just bought this Dm sprite 2 from ebay its a 9ch 160gb with built in CD. Simple question is how do I connect my Ptz camera to this Dvr ? Its an unbranded cheap Chinese ptz which works really well believably and it was working on Pelco d setup. Any help would be very appreciated Thanks

Good question but I thought in my eyes it was a bargain and that these where good machines. Im in the UK and yes it does have a cd drive built in also power supply is buile in too which all the others seem to be external. How much more are we talking and what do I require ?
