heloder replied to jisaac's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
That was an FYI. Pelco doesn't have a lot of control over the 8000. It was done in Korea. -

You can buy as many knockoff boards as you want. It is 100% legal. Where you will get into trouble is in the software. If you install the software it is a violation of the software license. You must have the software from the Manufacture. For Kodicom, it would be their official CD. -
Argus - SysTek They are good for home use, but remote and stability are big problems.

Hi Guys, We are moving to a new office and I have to shift 70 to 80 refurbished and older PC DVRs. They are 100% Genuine Kodicom. Some are 30 FPS, some are 120 FPS, some are 240 FPS. I’ve got some rack and desk top units. I’m selling them all for $950.00 each. If your interested email sales@saysecurity.com

Kodicom's DB writes data as .bix and .box files. Even if you found the data (video), you would not be able to properly reconstruct it.
-
Your data is lost. Once the HD is full, there is no software to bring back the data.

Diginet Question
heloder replied to ikill4food2's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
ATI is 100% nessesary. SIS is NOT supported. I'm telling you what gets tested at the factory. You might get lucky on one version, but you'll get burned in the next. -

The new software is not as picky on the remote video card. We have had much success with Kodicom. You just have to put it in the right PC.
-
just looked at that site again. Looks like they are using a diffrent set of boards for their complete systems. The boards on the "DVR Boards" page are not digiflower. sorry for the mix up

You had better contact Kodicom again and ask about everyone else in the USA. The person you spoke to is no longer at Kodicom, or won't be there much longer.
