I have two DVRs that need a hard drive. One is a Falco 4 camera DVR I believe gen 4. The other is an Evertech 4 camera DVR that didn't come with an installed hard drive. I purchased a WD 500 Gig hard drive that is on the list of compatible hard drives for the Evertech. On both machines when I plug in the Hard Drive to the DVR and power it up, I cannot access the menu screen. Also, the HDD light on the front is not on. I believe the DVR is not recognizing the hard drive. How do I format the hard drive from the DVR if I can't access the menu? Do I need to format from a PC?
