My nvr has finally arrived. I got everything going great until I tried to connect my USB hard disk. All of a sudden the USB ports have stopped working. They still supply power but no longer recognise any device including the mouse. I cannot mount USB through telnet and reinstalling the firmware through the web browser hasn't worked. Anyone have any ideas. It feels to me that there is a bug somewhere in the USB driver, anyone know a way around this? Thanks

Ok I have bought one of these but I'm waiting for it to arrive. Am I correctin understanding that if I use a powered external USB hard drive that it won't do continuous recording to it. Will I need to use an esata cable and external power source?
