  1. Hi mate.

If the HDD is brand new you need to initialise it prior to installing, also using a formatting tool, pre format to fat 32, put it in the machine, then you should be able to format, mount and allocate the HD from record options depending what version of SW you have on the DM.

    Best regards

    Sam

  2. Hi pal

This is probably something you have sorted however if not, you have a couple of options, you can either solder your own connector up using pins 1 and 9 or you can run the 2060 on BBV coax.

The SDAD is a fantastic machine if somewhat menacing to use, I have worked with many different DM u its so if you need any help, give me a shout!

    Sam

  3. Hi mate,

    I have the same issue,

The answer to your question is yes you can controll them with a CAT5 lead streight out of the dome top,

On the connector on the dome you will see the pin outs marked up on the PCB, to controll the dome you need " C RS485"

    REMEMBER ITS 12V NOT 24V!

    hope this has helped,

    Best regards

    Sam

  4. Does any body have a reliable cheap PTZ Dome they use ?

Hi yes i use the markmercer d150 they are a good ptz but are arround £1500 and they make a bit of noise as they use stepper moters also vcl orbiters i think they are really great and there quite expensive but alternatevly if you want to go really top quallity go to forward vision and try getting some refurbished mickeys my mate got a refurb for only £400 hope this helps regards Sam.

  5. Hi mate id go for the bbv kit rather than switches as with switches you could damage your p/t head by pressing down and up at the same time. so what id do is 1 go and try get a telemetry transmitter which suits your needs Dedicated micros do a sprite lite multiplexer which transmitts telemetry bbv coax is the telemetry signal you need but remember only some sprites tranmit telemetry so make shure you get the right one 2 get hold of 2 bbv rx300 telemetry recievers these are the basic recievers from bbv you can get far more sophisticated one but for a greater price. onece you have all this connect the recievers to the pan tilt heads run coax from your recievers to your transmitter and set your transmitter to bbv coax and away you go hope this helps best regards Sam.

  6. Hi mate go on ill give you that it is a verry good picture. But you mentioned the DM dvrs they are a brilliant unit as i have one myself the quallity is just astounding. Hope to here from you soon best regards Sam.

  8. Coincidence i have ad domes aswell right as far as i know you can program presets direct from a ds2 but you see i never bother with preesets as i dont need them. But i used to have a digital sprite lite mux and i could program preesets direct from that so can only assume you can with a ds2 hope this helps best regards Sam.
