I just bought 3 ds-2cd3332-i 's. I'd like to have them connect to my synology. But it cannot find the cams. So to test, I tried connecting it up to my macbook pro using the osx version of iVMS-4200. When using 'Show online devices' it finds the cam and all its settings with no problem. But when I try to add the device it says 'connection failed:device offline or connection timeout.' It's not accepting the admin/12345 username/password. I can't make any changes to the generic ip address or add it any way. The camera is using firmware V5.2.5 build 141201. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

sounds good. And 10-15 meters is more than enough for my needs.

I've narrowed my cam search down to the Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I or the Hikvision DS-2CD2332-I. The 2032 though smaller, aesthetically looks more like a camera which make me lean towards the 2332. But has anyone had real side by side comparison of their night vision?
