  1. You'll need to use more than an 8 disk array if you want 86TB I'd go for a 12 disk NAS plus an add-on to give you another 12 disks. This will give you 24 disks in total. Something like the Synology DS2415+, plus the DX1215 expansion unit might give you what you're after. These units support a maximum volume size of 108TB however one unit will only support 72TB. You'll want to ensure you have some redundancy rather than striping across the whole unit, you don't want to lose your array if one drive fails. Hikvision is a DVR and would support up to 6 internal disks so even with RAID0 you could only get 36TB storage, you'll need to use a separate NAS to get the storage capability you desire. Hope that's of some assistance to you.
  2. Hi folks, First time poster. I have a client who has a Bosch security camera network and I recently updated their firewall and it has an IP on that network. I'm in the process of deprovisioning the old firewall which also has an IP on that network. I had to update the gateway address for each of the devices on the network from the old to the new gateway address, and this has largely gone well except that the Bosch security cameras are no longer accessible on the web interface! I have updated the managed switch, DVRs and the cameras. I know the cameras were rebooted successfully and they are reporting to the DVR as the images are visible but for the life of me I can't work out why the web interface on them is no longer available. I can ping them so I know the network is working and the cameras are functioning as we can see the live images coming through to the DVRs. We're hesitant to call in the security company as there's currently no user impact from this so I'm hoping that such a simple network change would have a simple fix. They are using the Divar 700 series recorders. If there's some configuration software I'll need to download in order to enable the web interface again please let me know. I'm not a 'security' guy but I am a Systems/Network Admin guy so I can work most things out, but this has me stumped at the moment! Any help appreciated!
