  1. I've recently purchased a cheaper 6 camera bundle with dvr from Costco. For my current budget, IP wasn't an option. I do have cat6 I will be running through the house so I am going to use that plus some balun's instead of the Q-See wiring that comes with the bundle though. In the past we've had trouble with some kids and pranking. We recently had some attacks on dogs around us which pushed me to finally purchase something. I am looking for advice on placing 6 hd-cvi 1080p cameras in this layout. The image is my basic layout, forgive me, but I am just using ms paint for this. The T's are all varying sized trees, just for possible obstruction reference. The grey area around backyard denotes our property line and fences. This is just a short 4ft chain fence to keep the dog in. The brown in the back corner is our deck, which is all second level but does have stair access from the ground, this comes up by the door at b. a) ground level window, under deck b) second level sliding deck door c) ground level patio door d) ground level window e) side garage entrance f) front door g) ground level window h) garage door i & j) fencing gates I was thinking one camera by to capture faces/deliveries/etc. One camera to cover e and pointing back to also see the gate and yard. From there I basically had some cross coverage in each back corner (20ft up), and then one pointing up to front yard to also catch j, from the back right corner of house (20ft up). I am not worried about the install, but the placement is tough for me to determine. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
