  1. Acigilon 16 MP camera has 35mm sensor format So, pixels are more bigger, and optical resolution effects is less....
  2. That's what i'm talking about....
  3. Hellou, what bull****, I did see that camera myself yesterday in front of me and showing on huge 40" screen. Also, I spoke to Arecont employee. I edit my previous message, that's explains....
  4. 10 MP is absolutely "bull ****", due to optic resolution on small sensor size. That's theoretically impossible. Just "big size" for marketing.... http://www.conent.com/ConAdv/Encyclopaedia/Photography/CNQ_CAPhotography001.asp
  5. 25 -50 mm lens with auto focus to Arecont camera? No way.... Also, no way any auto focus lens to any megapixel camera, except analog cameras. You can only buy megapixel camera with integrated auto focus lens (Sanyo HD4000, HD4600), or megapixel camera with back auto focus (Pelco Sarix series, Sanyo HD2100, 2300, 2500). And, i thing, you thing about "Photo" lens format, because on most traditional megapixel cameras with small sensor you will have very narrow view angle. Of course, exist some "exotic" cameras with "full" format image sensor (Lumenera Le11059, Le259), with "Photo" lens and auto focus...
  6. Also, you can try place direct light source as possible near the camera. Number plates reflect light back to the "source". But, be careful with light source power. If it too much, you will see white plate without any numbers.... But... That only "things"... Arecont cameras has very bad dynamic range.... But try that
  7. I can't post full resolution image there, but, of course, TVL is more informative than image pixel size....
  8. I'm still use CCTV Labs Test Chart For example, Sanyo HD4000 test:
  9. Actually, even two sensors have same pixel number and same pixel pitch, and used with same lens with same focusing, you still can get different result. for the high resolution sensor, especially the one with small pixel, the crosstalk between the neighboring pixel is quite significant (light will leak from one pixel to another pixel). such kind of crosstalk will degrade the image quality definitely. I don't think so... Crosstalk between pixels "possible" in over lighted CCD, but not in CMOS. Different real resolution, but not image size in pixels caused more optical and little bit compression effects...
  10. I thing, you need Rainier-12a1V (12 cameras with best 4:3 aspect ratio display on 16:9 monitor, 3 rows and 4 columns, or Rainier-16a1V (16 cameras, but aspect ratio would be incorrect on 16:9 display... "U" units is more expensive, than "a" so, you should decide, do you relay need display another inputs, instead of analog video. For example, list price: Rainier-12a1v - $6898 Rainier-12U1v - $10498
  11. You can use this devices: http://avitechvideo.com/products/rainier-series-multiviewers.php
  12. It has the same Xacti engine as VCC-HD2100/2300/2500. I did a job for customer last week with few 2300 models. Day time - very very good(with Fujinon megapixel lens), at low light - crap. Also, at 4mpix it gives just few fps. I set them to 2.1 to get 8fps. Overall its a good deal for that money. With latest firmware, nop FPS limit. But, "rhetorical" question? Where you plan to use max FPS images at full resolution and JPEG compression?
  13. Some my reports.... viewtopic.php?f=19&t=11322&start=210
  14. So, Sanyo HD are excellent cameras, very high image quality, dynamics range, unbelievable "real" CMOS sensitivity, but with lots of "stupid" things in camera settings. Of course, that settings has some logic, but that logic sometimes difficult "prove" to customer an make lots of restrictions.... Also, good engineer can find good settings, instead of factory, but thats impossible due to setup flexibility restrictions.... One of settings example:
  15. Sanyo HD3500 day, evening, night.... Temporary link: http://195.182.71.6:5021 (works in IE....)
  16. Sanyo HD4600 day Images are re sized by half.
  17. Do you have a image? Yes, uploaded now in previous post. Tomorrow i will post day image
  18. No, Camera IR LEDs wavelength is more than ten times shorter, than PIRs working IR wavelenght.

    Human recognision standards?

So, maybe, you know that? TVL's per human, etc.... Of course, recognition and identification are different points.....
  20. Fiber is limited.... Bandwidth is limited. Not a distance. Especially on multimode fiber cable....
  21. You can use that data manager from Pelco: http://www.pelco.com/products/default.aspx?id=266 Or that from Sennetech: http://www.sennetech.net/manuals_pdf/SCM/scm-pelco-22.pdf
  22. Strange... I sent reply for you... OK, second trie..
